Poor UTA. Led WKU most of the second half in Bowling Green. Led GaSt the whole game until they tied it at the end of regulation. Like I said yesterday, if USA is the worst team in the league, this is the deepest the league has ever been.

Was their coach awake? Did Ga State tie the game with a three pointer with .03 seconds? If so why didn't they foul before they could shoot it.
Bad coaching if that's what happened.

Mid court is 45 feet. Once they got to that point, someone should have been fouled. I heard a sports show the other day and the hosts were talking about a similar situation, and one of the guys asked when coaches were going to learn that you don't allow a team to shoot a three when you have a three point lead in the last seconds of a game. Dumb, dumb, dumb, unless the guys just failed to foul the guy after being told to do so by the coach.

A lot of coaches still don't like to foul in that situation, although it seems like more are coming around to the idea that it makes a lot more since statistically.

Who did anyone on the league beat in ooc this year?
Parody in league does not mean greatness.
Weakest the conference has been in the ten years i have been watching it, imo.

Maybe the OOC schedule was the toughest in ten years. That would be ineresting to figure out, but I'm not smart enough to do it, so Pappy or someone else would have to do it. All I can say is there is great parity in our league and that makes for good basketball. What happens in the non conference has very little to do with our league, since we're only a one big league and going to be a middle to low see in the tournament most years.
I think we're confusing with how good the league is with our expectations for the program. Inside and Trojan and others want and expect us to be able to be a Top 25 program, which, at this time, is probably unreasonable. Not unreasonable to have dreams, but unreasonable in the sense we've never been a Top 25 program. But first things first. If we can elevate the program to where we're a dominant team in our league, like UNLV used to be in their league, the we can start thinking about moving up in the overall pecking order. But for now, I just want to win our league and get to the NCAA. One baby step at a time. I don't know if that's even possible but it's a worthy goal. Let's see what happens this week. That will tell us a lot as to exactly where we are.

Not winning at Florida, Memphis, and OU, who are all in the Top 25, proves a lot (sarcasm). We were tied with Florida at the half and leading Memphis in the second half. Who knows what might have happened in those games if we were playing at home.

Nothing unusual about the Belt OOC schedule this year. Our notable wins total was way down, though. And, if you will look at it, even Georgia State did not play anywhere nearly as well in the OOC as they have since. Same with several teams. That is one result of turnover in coaching, which we had a lot of.

What happened in the games with the rest of the schedule?
Did blowouts happen?
Did we have 10 more practices than the other teams?
Answer is we and the league took a lot of beatings in those 50/50games.
League is down.

On the average, maybe not, because I think the bottom tier came up a little this year, but in terms of being able to get nice OOC wins certainly you are right. GSU took a while to get their stride. WKU is not at their best this year. Generally, to get big non-conference wins you have to have top-level teams. Now, if we could get GSU to play some top non-conference games NOW, they would win some of them.
