In what's been a heated rivalry through the years, Western Kentucky may have struck a final blow defeating the Ragin' Cajuns 79-70 in Lafayette.

Thanks. Probably not the only oversight I made this week in either piece. I meant for it to say "last regular season game in Lafayette." I live in a region that comes to a complete shut down when it dips below 30 degrees. I had quite the weekend because of it.

Your guys were very impressive. I enjoyed that game very much. Although not his best game, it's good to see TJ Price has lived up. He went to high school five minutes from where I live. Heck of a talent.

Thanks man, I think we are coming together now as team and playing much better...Of course we will see as we were not good last homestand, hopefully we turn the corner at home too...

We got really lucky with Price as he was about ready to commit to La Tech to play football due to lack of basketball offers...We came in with the basketball offer and the rest is history...He has been a great player for us and only a junior....

I do some Southland and Sun Belt coverage for Mid-Major Madness. I just hadn't been linking Southland articles here. I grew up on Sun Belt basketball (when it was REALLY good) and still want the best for the league. I'm far from a pro at any of it but I'm just doing what I can to help promote all the teams in our region on a national platform.

You two should consider getting a room.

I'm sure topics of expanding sports are a sore subject for most New Orleans fans. They was a proud member of the Sun Belt for many years and had some damn good basketball teams back in the days.....Bo Macalab still haunts me. But after Katrina UNO took a big financial hit and had to reduce from D1 down to D2 in basketball and funding for all sports took a massive blow. I personally miss UNO and wish them best as they was always a great member
