The colours are different but they remind me of the Houston Astros uniforms of a few years back. Must be a Texas thing.

RE: Baseball predictions
Looking forward to Sun Belt baseball. Wish we were in there this year, but this is one sport where the Sun Belt is very capable of becoming a top 5-6 conference and I don't rule out top 4.
As bad as we have been at basketball the last few years we are very anxious for baseball season just to forget our losing in basketball.

We were a top 5 conference last year.

Glad you do. This is the main reason WKU fans are happy to be moving on to a place that at least somewhat cares about basketball. Not dissing baseball, but how can baseball be a more popular sport than basketball in a conference? The two main sports in this country are football and basketball. That is why both are shown all of the time on TV. Baseball is only shown mainstream when it gets down to the tournaments. Again, I'm not dissing baseball, I really like it. But it is a distant 3rd for most WKU fans behind basketball and football.
Amen and this attitude by other SB schools have really taken hold this season in hoops....Their is amazingly less people at games than the normal which was bad to start with in SB gyms....I bet most SB teams baseball does outdraw basketball and to me that is just sad...I think this is some of the reason SB teams and players are jacked up when they come to Diddle, they are finally playing in front of more than just family and friends...They come to play to shut up the actual home crowd they are not used to seeing...

Why is it sad? Just because you prefer basketball does not mean everyone does. You have had a lot of success historically in basketball, most of the rest of us haven't. Most of us have, however, had a lot of success in baseball. That explains a lot of it.
Also, no offense, because Diddle has a great atmosphere from what I've seen, but I'm pretty sure all of our teams have played in better atmospheres than Diddle.

Baseball doesn't outdraw basketball except maybe at a Troy, USA, or ULL. What baseball does provide though are winning teams, and fans support winners.
Basketball would be a much bigger deal for fans if the teams were winning. Since its not, fans are starting to put more resources in baseball, which in turn develops the baseball program more.
For almost every SBC school that sponsors football, Football is King, and Basketball is sort of lumped in with the other sports. Its just how it is.

I think the RPI goes up considerably after Troy... Had we not lost to asu in the tourny we would have had a 20 something RPI. But still co-champs none the less.

We're just building...don't mind us. Coaches have set Regionals as the goal for this season.

Historically, no baseball hasn't outdrawn basketball. In recent years yes because UL has not returned to the NCAA Tournament since 2006.

Texas State begins the season with its annual CenturyLink tournament. This year Michigan, Washington & Air Force are coming to play at Bobcat Ballpark.
What tournaments are you guys hosting/attending?

We cut Preseason tournaments out for a couple years now. Only tournaments we are interested in take place in May and June.
