He gets out on the court, gets halfway down in a defensive stance and sticks his arms out.

Any other coach could have made this gripe, but Big Tits Bob Marlin actually did put 6 guys on the court once.

Marlin also kicks the banner ads on press row and yells at PA announcers. He has big tits and the Cajun Dome sucks.

UL-L seems to like posting videos of their coaches acting like *******. See their softball coach: http://youtu.be/cnowmUmPOMg

Speaking of coaches acting like *******s
What's Ronnie Arrow up to these days?

He's an assistant coach to Mike Davis at Texas Southern.

I don't think there was one call that he wasn't animated about.
The team that played better down the stretch won.
As far as the arena that each school plays is what it is. A Cracker Jack box gym can be fun and loud. Enjoy it.
But if GSU keeps up this kind of play a bigger venue would be nice.

When we renovate our Arena, it won't get bigger, just more dense.

Thicker walls?

LOL

By more dense do you mean fans? .....I mean more fans?

Potentially....more seats at least.
They need to figure out what they want to do. I talked to someone who is pretty knowledgeable about the situation and was told that the cost to turn the court would be almost as much as the full renovation because of structural considerations. So a decision needs to be made to either renovate, implode and start over or move to Phillips.

The Georgia State rivalry could become good in basketball. With WKU leaving, the Cajuns will likely continue the rivalry with USA. And, Georgia Stae could become another one.

ULM is a rivalry, but this is the first year they've been halfway relevant in basketball in a long time.

Don t even start on softball with your dirty players and crappy fans. I can't wait till you guys come to Lamson park twice this year. Your softball team and fans are the worst of any sport in the SBC. You all make all the football rants look like a Disney movie while you all are playing like boys in the hood.

I will have to say there was plenty of contact early that wasn't called, but the game evened out until the last two minutes where there were some calls with no or incidental contact. The last three fouls (one on Long, two on Payton) weren't fouls. I think the ref's were anticipating more contact that didn't happen. Sometime that happens in games but usually not at home. I hope the game against Western on Saturday isn't called like that as it will look bad on ESPN. RJ Hunter may be the best pure shooter I've seen in the Cajundome. He hit some fade away three pointers that he hit with a hand in his face. His worst (an air ball) was one where he was wide open.

Overall, I thought it was a great game, and one I thought the Cajuns should have won. If the Cajuns hit their normal 30% from three they win the game. When a team is playing zone against you and you get wide open three's time after time and shoot 3-19 you aren't going to win many games. The Cajuns won the rebound battle huge, they made 7 more field goals, but shooting 3/19 from three and the visiting team getting 20 more free throws does you in.

There is a difference in advocating for your team throughout a game (zero problems with that for any coach) and having a whine fest in your post game press conference. Made him look petty and unprofessional.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution's post on the ULL's coach being a sore loser. The article will definitely get back to Coach Hunter because the beatwriter and Coach Hunter[/align] are actual friends.

It's gets worse:

Quote:@The_Sun_Belt said the post-game comments made by ULL coach Bob Marlin are being reviewed internally and they will have no further comment

Now I think this action is going a little far. But, I guess the SunBelt office didn't like it.

I continue to claim that the best solution to the RJ Hunter problem would be a nice swift punch in the face. I nominate one of our last place team to do the honors since you can get a player suspended and not fall out of last place.

Its not that I hate Hunter...I just think he looks like a guy who needs to be punched in the face.

You can't criticize the refs. We'll see if he gets suspended or fined.

Wow, just looking at the box score and not the final score and you would think the Panthers crushed Louisiana.
I see 20 more free throws, 57% to 16% behind the arc, and only 7 TO's. Just on that alone you would've thought that is a 20+ point loss easy. Losing only by 7 is shocking.
Georgia State seems to be playing better than any one at the offensive end by far right now. Only thing I see that might be some concern is the rebound issue and the weak bench, only 1 point from the bench. 04-jawdrop

The box score was the reason Bobby Big Fish was vocal about the poor officiating. You expect that kind of discrepancy when you are on the road but in your own house is hard to swallow.

It shouldn't matter if you are at home or on the road. Getting kind if tired of reading that in a bunch if threads. These officials are not calling games differently for the home team. It's not like they are officials hired by the home team.

Yes, because home court advantage and home cooking never occurs. 01-wingedeagle

Home court advantage isn't due to ref's cheating for a team, its because the team hasn't had to travel, has an arena of their own fans cheering them on, and is comfortable in the arena they are used to playing in.

I think "home cooking" is a lot less prevalent than people suggest.
