RE: Transfers
I was also wondering if the two FBS transfers were on the JMU roster? One was a WR from South Carolina and the other one, I believe, was an OL from UNC? Haven't heard anything.

They have to enroll first I think as a transfer

RE: Transfers
Is that Kwinton Smith? A guy I work with is a huge South Carolina fan... Said he was kicked off the team due to academics.

Yes it is Kwinton Smith. According to 247sports he was ruled academically intelligible for the Capital One Bowl this year.

RE: Transfers
Was a highly touted 4 star recruit coming out of HS, but played primarily on special teams last yr as a rFr.
"...five catches and 42 yards—two and 22 of which came in a 70-10 rout of FCS Coastal Carolina..."

Listed on 3rd string on Spring Depth chart:

In that picture are the "#East Coast Transfers" - Vad Lee (GT - QB), Kwinton Smith (South Carolina - WR) and Nick Appel (UNC - OL).

If they were average to above average, they may have saved MM's job.
You gotta give MM credit to get them to visit JMU....he knew he was going to be hurting at secondary.

Well when 50% of your recruiting class is WR (or destined to be WR) and you rarely use them then you're gonna be a little thin at other positions..

To your point, 20% of the team on last years roster (that actually had a uniform number) were WRs. That's a big number.

Vad tweeted he's hosting Ishmael hyman, WR Kansas. JMU previously offered him but maybe he's looking to transfer? If so we are getting some serious depth at WR this year!
