That guy can really play!!! handles the rock, quick to the basket, and a great rebounder.

RE: UTEP
For UTEP several freshmen played tonight - #2 Aaron Jones, #11 Jake Flaggert, #32 Vince Hunter, and #41 Matt Willms. Hunter looked like a star tonight.

The only player they lose from this team next year is really #21 John Bohannon.

Looked like Rob was playing a guy 6 inches taller than him.

So to sum up, we just lost to a short handed team full of freshmen. At home. But we're moving in the right direction, though.

RE: UTEP
Its the Mike Davis leftover. We would say wait til Callaways players are gone and Mcgee has a team full of his own players. Wait til Davis' players are gone and we have full roster of Haase recruits.

I believe UAB is better than last's year team, but still not one of the top four teams in the conference.

Attendance was 6,123. Very nice crowd.

Pretty vocal too when it mattered.

That is what you would expect for a crowd we Haase is working on building us back up.

Start winning for good & you will see more of this.

RE: UTEP
By no means have I jumped off "the Haase bandwagon," but I think we should be better than 12-5 with our abysmal schedule. Those five losses do include a 2OT loss, an OT loss, and a 2 point regulation loss, however..

This season has become disappointing all of a sudden. I hope we turn it around, or we may not even make any postseason play beyond the CUSA tourney.I hope I never see us play a schedule this bad again, EVER. I agree with others that said it may have left us unprepared. We've got to strike a balance between scheduling 15 top 50 games in the OOC schedule to make up for our horrible conference and finding more winnable games at home and on the road. Our lack of road games was really striking. Sorry.. I seem to have digressed from tonights game there.

Not sure how open rob was on the last three, because I wasn't able to watch the game. But barring a WIDE OPEN look, I would've liked for us to go for the tie or and1, as well. Did we not try to speed the game up to and take it to the hole every possession, to try and expose UTEPs lack of depth?

RE: UTEP
We are a lot better last year. We have a few players who have been in this system for their second year now and a bunch of guys their first year in it. We have a lot of promising things happening this year, and a lot of frustrating things. I still think we are one of the better teams in the conference, that was another tough loss. Hopefully we continue learning and really start to get going by the end of the season.

If you can't tell this team is the best team we have had since 2011, you really should take up something besides sports.

I think you'll be favored @UNT. At worst, UNT favored by 1 or 2. UAB is by far the better team and if the Blazers are focused they will win easily.

Going up @Tulsa will be a different story, but let's see what happens Thursday first.

Prior to today's games, KenPom.com had North Texas favored by 2 and Tulsa by 4.

If U asked Coach Haase if he thought he'd have the program in as good of shape as it is now after a yr & a half. Guarantee U he'd say NO.

Its gonna be a team full of freshmen and Sophomores. Besides Frazier, CJ, Brown, and Rideau.
