On the way home from the TXST game about 7am on a Sunday morning the drive through line was wrapped around the block and about 10 cars parked and while waiting for my son to come out with our donuts everyone coming out had 2, to 4, and more large boxes of donuts.
I love Shipley's but Round Rock has a different taste and probably 25% larger...they have a orange look to them. We don't have a Shipley's at home but most SBC cities do (don't know about the new additions) and while I would take them over most donuts...the last time we tried them (Monroe La) they were too greasy. I love glaze and about all I will buy.
I will try out Meche's later this month when we head down for the game with the Cajun's
Meche's donuts are awesome. If you ever find yourself in Crowley, Louisiana, try Ruddock's donuts on the Court Circle. Different favor than Meche's but equally as awesome.

Then this ridiculous argument will be over.
You know, stAte has never told me how they wanted to be called, I have always called them stAte. Maybe if you guys would stop crying about it we would stop doing it. If you haven't figured it out the more you whine the more you get it. We're like a bunch of kids in here, once we find something that gets another's skin, we are going to pick at it.
We prefer the term "USA's daddy"
LOL Two games.
One: An onside-kick victory over an unclassified USA team
Two: A 1 point win over a first year FBS team
Both wins in championship years for ASU
You have every right to be proud for beating us, even if we were the newbie. But USA will be just fine going forward.

We changed our name to The University of Louisiana.
We did it legally and in the same manner every other school name change went down in the state prior to our name change.
Months later, the state legislature changes state law RETROACTIVELY to strip us of our legally acquired name.
The name is OURS and always will be ours.
So, Cajun fans will never surrender to any edict from on high. To us, they are worthless pieces of paper.
We are LOUISIANA.
I've often though that you guys should've changed the name to Louisiana-Lafayette back in the eighties. I mean there wasn't any other school name Louisiana back then, you guys would've owned the name Louisiana by default. Also I doubt either LSU or other Louisiana System school members would've thrown a hissy fit over the name change because of the Lafayette there.
This is exactly what Texas State did, other Texas State System schools did indeed throw a hissy fit over our name change, but did so because of fear to having their university names changed to Texas State-whatever. Then we opened up a satellite Campus in Round Rock, Texas (about 40-50 miles from San Marcos) then had the "San Marcos" removed because of how ridiculous it is to be forced to used "San Marcos" at a satellite campus in Round Rock. Or maybe we just learned from your mistakes, I don't know.
I thought you guys had to do Texas State-San Marcos because of pressure from the system and the compromise was you guys would do SM and say ... Sam Houston would do Texas State-Huntsville. When it became apparent no one in the system wanted to change their name, they were allowed to drop SM. Is that off?

KINDA off.
Sam Houston, Lamar, Sul Ross, etc... If they so desired could have taken the name of "Texas State University-Sam Houston". They wanted to be able to keep the "Texas Legends" names.

It's funny that there's now two ASU's and yet both schools don't claim the initials.

30 years, 180 years, either way time to move on. We're Tulane, you're ULL. Either embrace it or change the legislation. I like to jibe yall because you make it so easy but really the only other dig in the fight is ULM.

From what I understand, ours has more to do with the fact that googling ASU gets you Arizona State, so we felt we needed a new brand.
That being said, both sides agree that it makes no sense to fight over a stupid moniker, when both of us get more hits going by another moniker.

It's mainly a retirement town, which makes little sense as it's RIGHT ON THE LAKE.
