Ok, I have to laugh...
CBS Sports has ULM picked as a 15th seed in the NCAA tourney this year. I know we are much better and I think Richard is doing a miraculous job one year away from what was almost the death penalty(and actually still dealing with some sanctions), but making the tourney this year is a stretch in my opinion. The SBC is too improved. Nice to even see a little respect though for the job he is doing.

If y'all doI will find way to force myself to pull to for ULM. But that will also mean Marlin will likely be put on the hot seat. Which I for one wouldn't mind at all.

These thing are worse than bowl projections. I have seen WKU,UL,ASU,GState,ULM,USA all projected in the tourney for 1 spot. Every time somebody wins or loses it changes.

I have to laugh too, because they weren't making those predictions when ULM scored 31 points in a game earlier this year.

The 31 points were scored...barely...against a top ten team without our starters playing ANY of the second half and it was an OOC game. These predictions are based on teams winning their conferences and their appeal as at large teams. So scoring 31 on Ohio State has nothing to do with this prediction.

BTW, I don't believe ULM will win the Sunbelt this year so the prediction is just a nice compliment for knocking off a SBC pre-season favorite. That's all.

And we played with one starter out since the start of the season Bryant Mbamalu that avg. 13.8 points and 4.0 rebounds a game. He just returned and played a few minutes againt ULM and starting forward Eldridge Moore has missed the last two games and? Its all part of the game.

As ASU fans would say....

till you take it away from the 2 time defending champs the rest of the conference is just pretenders :)

still a lot of basketball to be played and at this point there is not a clear favorite and if the past couple years told us anything no one is out of it. Well maybe other than the 2 TX schools

Three time...Three time

(Oh...you're talking about WKU...the two time defending 6th place champions who have won the tournament each year because Ray Harper is amazing at pulling quality basketball out of his rear end each March)

Georgia State is to football this year as Texas State is to basketball this year (decade).

In the SBC the real champ is who wins the conference tourney....

the best record during the season only gets you a few extra points for the Vic Bubas Cup. And a seat in from of your TV to watch Western play

We still get to claim we have won the title 3 straight years...because two of those years there was no co.

Sure, didn't we all share the one in 2006 with ULM as well?

ULM doesn't get to claim the title because they lost to a 1AA that year, and the rules said that teams with 5 wins didn't get to claim a conference title.

We were a really bad conference back then...
