I just realized this
ASU is now the only team in the state of Arkansas to have ever won two consecutive bowl games...at any point.
The University of Arkansas in its grand history has never won two consecutive bowl games. Best they ever did was a stretch from 76-78 when they won two and tied one...but they never won back to back. No matter the separation between the bowls.

Could part of this be because there are more bowls now than when Arkansas was a Southwest Conference powerhouse?
Or more of the lower level bowls, anyway?
I ask because I don't know. Though I'd guess more bowls equal just as many opportunities to win back-to-back for the Razorbacks as it provides the Indians -- er, Red Wolves.
So, never mind.
And congrats. I have been to the White River. I think that's what it was called. I was a kid. It was up in the Ozarks somewhere and the damn current in that river was about 100 mph, it seemed, Our 5 hp Johnson would go backwards at times at top speed when we tried to go upriver.
Beautiful spot though. Beautiful country.
Makes me miss my ancestral homelands in the SC foothills.

I think it is more that they are 13-23-3 in bowls all time.
If you have 39 bowls and lose most of them you will have gaps between most of the wins.
