Well lets see here. One of those games involved a CUSA team facing a Sun Belt Team, and this one involved a former SBC member, and is getting national attention right now from what happened in it.

If you'd like, we could talk about FIU's bowl game this year. When is the Toilet Bowl played?

A former SB is playing on the Heart of Dallas bowl. Where's the thread for this game?

Don't blame me. Its not on Television here.

No TV or Internet on your neck of the woods? Lol right..

I don't get ESPNU. Never have. I was not using first row sports and risking all sorts of computer viruses to watch freaking North Texas.

I'll expand upon that further. Tulane played the Cajuns. That is obvious.

East Carolina against Ohio. While there was no specific thread, it was mentioned in several others that the MAC doesn't deserve to be in that bowl.

Marshall and Maryland. No impact on the SBC whatsoever. Most here are always glad to have a P5 loss to a G5, but no one was compelled enough to start a thread about a game that was concluded.

Middle Tennessee and Navy. The first post in that thread was about the poor temperament of MTSU, gouging players eyes and unnecessary shenanigans. That made national news as well.

Rice and Mississippi St. A G5 conference champ losing to a barely-in, had-to-win-two-in-a-row-just-to-be-bowl-eligible P5 school by an embarrassing 37 points is note worthy. That thread would have been started by someone if the same thing happened to the AAC, MAC or MWC school on this board. it added extra meaning because it backs up everything we have been saying, C-USA is no longer the premiere football conference it once was.

UNT and UNLV. I watched the game on TV and didn't visit the board. I'm sure I am not the only one. UNT being a former SBC member creates a link, but in the end, what is noteworthy about the game?

I don't have the time nor the desire so don't hold your breath on those bowls threads. In fact, It's not necessary as you've made it very clear how you feel about CUSA and how bad it is.

What load of bull.

You won't take the time and lack the desire because you know it would require you to admit you are damn liar with what you've said about me.

Worst thing I've ever said about C-USA was that if any Sun Belt were invited today that unless there were guarantees on revenue (TV deal expires after 2015 football) that it may not make sense to pay the entry fee and go on a balance sheet.

Hell I broke down exactly when MTSU and FAU come out ahead finacially Mr Weasel.

You've got a stalker crazed vendetta that the mods here tolerate for some reason because this isn't the first time you've made up outright lies about what I've posted.

You can't go look at the CUSA bowl threads on the Sun Belt board and link where I hate CUSA or the departing members because it doesn't exist and you are too big of a ***** to admit you are liar.

You are linking the wrong person. Arkstfan has been brutally honest about CUSA. He thinks teams would move, but until a new TV deal is in place, it might be best to wait on the financials before accepting.

There are a lot of posters here who have been bashing CUSA...but you've spent a heck of a lot of time accusing the wrong one.

RE: Armed Forces Bowl
I don't mind bashing C-USA ingrates and snobs at all. I hate pretentious twits who think they're somehow better than everyone else, especially when all evidence indicates otherwise.

I've not had much of a bone to pick with MTSU but a number of UNT fans take shots at the Belt every opportunity they get. Of course, I'm sure they were pleased as punch when the Belt gave them an invite originally. My personal viewpoint is this. If the Belt was good enough for your program to join, and then help it grow and prosper to the point that it was attractive to another conference, then why take shots at it afterwards?

WKU and its fans here were pummeled here when it appeared they'd get a bowl bid instead of stAte. I thought both deserved a bid but wouldn't have blamed WKU (other than for having beaten stAte) if they'd gone and stAte no. It'll be interesting to see how their fans treat the Belt once they move across the street.

And let's be honest here, their move is across the street, not a move into some snooty gated community.

Out of curiosity what sort of engineering work do you do. My father was an engineer for 43 years and hated retiring but needed surgery that had a three month recovery and reluctantly retired but still plots and graphs things he finds interesting.

That was my original major but some psycho put all the core classes at 8am so I switched to journalism and slept in 03-wink l

I see it a few ways. I get after UNT and MTSU because they are the Greenies and the Smurfs. They were some old rivals of ours, and I really didn't care for them when they were here. So yes, I will tease them incessantly...but I would do that regardless of league. That being said, I do not blame UNT for leaving simply because of all the Texas Schools in CUSA.

I have the upmost respect for FAU and appreciate all they did for the league. I do not have similar respect for FIU, and simply carry no opinion on the Panthers at all.

As for WKU. I think their fascination with college basketball is weird...and I loathe Petrino. But I do respect the program.

I'm a Civil Engineer with sub-discipline in Transportation Engineering. I had similar issues as the one you encountered while taking your core classes. Hence, it took me 5 years to graduate instead of 4 years since many of my classes were in conflict with one another. To make matters worst, some classes were only offered once or twice per semester. Is your dad a Civil Engineer as well? Oh and your dad is an engineer. Only because he retired and doesn't practice engineering anymore doesn't mean he stopped being one.

By the way, I apologized to you on a thread I created specifically for that. I'm still trying to figure out how I got you mixed up with the other individual. Anyways, I've learn my lesson and will be extremely careful as to who I single out in a conversation.

He was lead engineer on what at the time was the tallest earthen dam in the world working for Natural Resources Conservation. Never forget when north Arkansas was hit with a 300 year flood. He had designed dams for a development in the area when working private. Media was reporting dams near breaking point and ones that had been topped. He called a fellow NRC regional engineer up there to go look at his old projects. Never forget the smile when he called back and said "Spillways are handling it and still have about 20% capacity left"
