It sounds odd at first but hear me out, when you look at ND's record in bowl games it seems like they would be a perfect addition to the MAC.

on second thought, adding Notre Dame for football would be too much of an embarrassment for the MAC and would just bring the league down. nm.

You read a thread titled "Notre Dame to the MAC" and didn't know in advance that it would be a waste of ten seconds?

the point is, the MAC's bowl record isn't going to make us or break us, it is what it is and its not the worst thing in college football.

At the end of the day, that's probably true...but comparing the MAC to Notre Dame or any P5 conference team isn't an even comparison...

I will say the NIU loss does add a little credibility that NIU would not had matched up well in a BCS bowl and bowl season does factor in to the final rankings which could impact the following pre-season rankings, further giving a leg up to another G5 conference for that inclusion spot.

So, I do think that a negative bowl season can impact the perception of the conference as a whole. But I think most have already decided that the AAC/MWC have the greatest chance of an in road to the spot as evidenced by the ranking of UCF with their 1 loss...

For a ND/P5, a bowl win/loss may mean the difference in landing or not landing that top recruit, but you're still going to draw good/great recruits regardless.
