I am not trying to sound snide, but you should actually look into what Liberty does in the sciences before you make a bunch of assumptions based on second hand information or make assumptions that all your beliefs are correct while all theirs are wrong. There is a book (can't recall the name) of a guy who was an Ivy League student, was an atheist, spent a year at Liberty, and wrote a book about the fair and unfair stereotypes of Liberty.

One of the great things about science is that it is made up of theories that are supported through research but many are never claimed as fact.

Again, this is not a religious forum so there is no need to get into a religious argument but many on here make Liberty to be something it isn't. Furthermore, BYU is very similar in its political, social, and academic views but I don't see anyone in the Mountain West complaining about them as being odd balls.

Understood Dolley. But I'm not making second handed assumptions...got my info straight from their website...

Great fans, great facilities, easy to get to for an away game. One of my favorite places to go for an away game. I could care less that they are a private religious school.

Totally agree about their great fans and facilities. I, however, would not want to be conference affiliated with them. Norte dame and holy cross are religious private institutions. But they also teach science. No disrespect to religion, but liberty doesn't value scientific research, rather religious fundamentalism. I can't think jmu, as represented by the FAQ answers, would affiliate themselves with a school like that. And I am thankful.

Religion called and it said, no disrespect taken, so you and religion are still good, so you've got that going for you

Religion can be a touchy subject and I wanted to make sure people knew I was not downing it and was talking strictly from an academic standpoint. It's ok though, you generally add nothing to the conversation with your posts, so why should this one be any different...
Just having some fun with you, I'm gonna need more JMU and less UVA out of you next time.

What? No funny GIF in response? You slipping mad? 04-cheers
