New Orleans Bowl game TV ratings predictions
We have circled the wagons on just about every topic for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns vs. Tulane Green Wave bowl game. so how about predicting the all so important TV ratings. Last years ratings were 1.8 share (2.6 million viewers) , with an 11a.m. kickoff, against East Carolina

With this being an all Louisiana game, it would initially seem to be a very, very local interest game and have less of a national appeal, but I want to take the opposite approach.

1) 13 teams in the sun belt(current and future teams plus Olympic sports )
2) tulane current conference of 16 teams (current and future teams)
3) tulane future AAC conference mates of 11 teams
4) 4-5 teams who have been linked to the sunbelts open spot for football
5) general football fan with no other game on Saturday night

that totals/covers about 45 fan bases in 15 states( not counting general fan all over the country), that all potentially have enough interest to watch. with all that said im going to shoot for the stars and predict slightly over 3 times last years mark and say 7.5 million viewers !!!!

Had you guys been able to finish out the season and crack the top #25, the interest would have been there. I hope we(SBC) draw those kind of numbers, but more important, I want a full dome for you guys. If the SBC continues to show that we as a conference can bring the numbers on TV and in the stands, then we will get more then enough bowl ties over the next couple years. As well as a better TV contract.

It's the only game on, with a prime time (time slot)....I think you'll easily break last years number.

We set the attendance record last year with over 49,000. As of yesterday, 58,000 tickets were sold. Add walkups and we should break 60,000, breaking attendance records 3 years in a row. You will see a sea of red on TV. The majority of fans will be UL.

Can anyone tell us when the TV ratings and number of viewers are announced reference the New Orleans Bowl versus the other bowls and attendance. Tulane had slightly more than the 200 fans you all allude to after every Tulane home game in the Superdome.

You are not the first troll to talk crap weeks leading up to the game and then lose. Most are smart enough never to come back. You are a special kind of stupid. You were destroyed in the stands and beaten on your home field. Not much left to say.

Like I said, you are a special type of stupid. We are talking a real Forrest Gump I highly doubt you graduated from Tulane. You could take some lessons from JD. He supports his school will class and is gracious when they lose. He is like most Tulane alumni I know.

184 posts and a -9 reputation and it'd be worse if JD hadn't helped you out with a positive. I suspect he's also kind to stray and other dumb animals.

Do you not wonder why so many people find you so abrassive?
