Next year we will see what happens. Yes we lost a lot of seniors, but most of those seniors were here from day 1, not what you would consider FBS level players. You are right, everyone does have injuries. But losing anyone else on the team is a little different than losing your only qb with experience and your biggest leader. Thrusting a freshman in a game like that on the road is tough on any team. You can't turn the ball over 4 times in the first half and think a freshman will get you out of that. At the end of the day nobody will talk about that time you beat us. However, we do have 2 trophies we can show people. You can even look at them when you come to Lafayette for the game next year. I'm sure our team will be just as hospitable yours was. Also, you can downplay losing 27 seniors all you want but it will affect you. Those guys were obviously special people to do what they did for your program... You can't replace those kinds of intangibles.

In the mean time we get basketball, baseball and softball games to argue about. Just good old conference fun, love a little intra-conference hatred.

Just makes everything more fun.

We had 9-3 seasons and didn't go to bowls, it's a different time . If you don't start putting butts in your seats you won't go bowling either. Ask wku how sitting at home at 8-4 felt like.

Please, don't give me the we only been playing football a few years garbage. Hell, your alumni and administration were to cheap to spend money on football, while saving millions on athletics. Now all of sudden your big time because you put your big boy pants on and finally starting participating in the NCAA's most popular and expensive sport. Thanks for becoming an actual college program instead of a glorified junior college with good basketball and baseball.

I'll give you that. Yes we were 1-2 in bowl games this year with loses to ULM and USA and a victory over Tulane. So the Jags can put your bowl trophy in your school's trophy case. Oh wait USA didn't get a trophy, ring , watch or t-shirt. We lost 4 games this year big deal. We won more of the ones that counted learn something from ULM take your victory and move on. If anyone should be gloating it should be them for all the crap they got from Cajun fans. But if it make you feel better hold on to that everyone else in the sunbelt is moving on. Oh tied for second with three other team whoohoo but your were 6-6. I got ya that use to make us feel good about ourselves too.

We aren't the ones that were beating our chest, it was you guys that said you were the "vastly superior" team. We just pointed out that that was horribly wrong evaluation of our two teams. We did beat both of the teams that were in that bowl, it is a moral victory, but we know what that is worth. We will get our chances to prove our worth, this year was just a wake up call to everyone that we have arrived and can't be taken lightly. We aren't behind like everyone thought we would be.
