I don't think anyone's upset about anybody bringing it up. The point was made to think before you post. No one knows all the facts about this. Why don't we learn what really happened before we stone him. We don't know all the facts are even if it is true.

The thread also turned into players reading the board and watching why you say in general.

Especially when players are reading.

Not really. If it is economics, it isn't stupid at all.

I wonder if having family members constantly complaining about your coach have an negative affect on players. Probably not, undermining authority is always good thing and yields positive results.

John Calipari never recruited local players at Memphis unless he knew they would be a starter.
He said the family members and friends in the kids ear questioning the coach's decisiions all the time caused a cancer on the team.

The few local players he did recruit generally bore this out as fact.

Well McGee said he wants local players so...I guess he's no Calipari?

Questions so far NOT answered:
Has it been made official that there will be no senior/ team "banquet"?
If true, who in authority made that decision?
What reason was given by that authority for that decision?
If those on BT don't like that decision, can we do something about it? Like sending a contribution to an office at UAB?

I agree that EVERY year's team should have some activity, like a banquet, to look back on no matter what the season record. Life is longer and more important than a season's W-L record.

I Heard it though the Grapevine that McGee was planning on giving out 2-10 shirts at the banquet, so they called it off...........that is my story, and I'm sticking to it (g).

Did the coaches have to wear those 3-9 shirts too? I guess not.
