Have we heard from Mickey?
I am mostly a lurker on this board so maybe I missed it, but has there been any comments from Mickey since his firing? Would be interesting to hear his side of the story. Just wondering...

Not that I know of. He has been silent, which is probably wise. Let things cool off...

Stoss tweeted he had heard his name quoted as a candidate at Stephen F. Austin. I'm not sure if that came from seeing his name mentioned somewhere, or an actual conversation with someone in touch with Mickey. FWIW, I read that the TCU receivers coach is the apparent leader there.

Could Mickey be waiting to take the Bridgewater job? Stay in Harrisonburg and retire from football there..

You're being serious? If so, that's very unlikely. BWC folks really like Mike Clark, and Clark is happy there. Not sure the Brethren crew could accommodate MM's "flair" 03-wink

I wasn't sure, last time I saw Bridgewater's record it wasn't too good. At least I think it wasn't.

RE: Have we heard from Mickey?
Over Thanksgiving break I walked my dog through JMU's campus. I saw nobody and only two vehicles, both appeared to be Mickey's moving crew parked at the front door of BFS. I hoped to see him and thank him for 15 years but nobody came out of the building as I passed. A little sad to see cars loaded with boxes of framed glory moments if I agree with it or not...

The BWC FB program caught lightning in a bottle a few years ago (about the same time JMU was experiencing its highs under MM), and since then the Eagle's record over the past several years has been so-so, but that's not what drives FB at BWC. The administration and fans love Mike Clark, and he's there for life if he wants it.

RE: Have we heard from Mickey?
I have no idea what MM's plans are, but he was out eating dinner with Uncle Ron a few nights ago, I heard, and they demonstrated their usual generosity to an adjacent table of recent JMU grads.
