Exclamation For Texas State fans
Baker Mayfield is looking to transfer out of Texas Tech. Any chance Coach Fran goes after him?

I doubt it. Doesn't fit the run first and pass sideways system.

Texas State has no one as of now to backup Jones. He has a chance of getting a look from Fran. We do have a new QB walk on from UTEP who enrolled recently.

Hes going to want to go and start somewhere though. I could see UTSA since Sozas done I think.

If he can help us though, bring him in.

I think he is from austin, so txst or utsa would not be far from home..coker seems to be able to put together a better offense so of the two, I say utsa would be more likely and they have scheduled some big names to play the next few years.

RE: For Texas State fans
As people had said on BCF, Fran would ruin the kid in his system.

As someone else pointed out, Nealy would have been ok in Fran's O but think about what would have happened to Brad George. He would have been benched. A QB who is right up there with many of our current QB records, holding several, would have been a benchwarmer. I shudder at the thought. Say what you want about Wright but he allowed T Bush to take a pro baseball player and turn him into one of our most prolific QBs ever. A guy (QB) that can't run well is going to die at TXST.
