Troy has commitments from the QBs from the #1 and #2 JUCO schools (played/playing in the NJCAA championship game) and a three star JUCO WR, 6-5 195. That's all we got listed so far. I'm sure there's a lot that hasn't been revealed yet though.

RE: 2014 Recruiting
I will probably be signing my name to a receipt after dinner this weekend. That's about all the valuable information I have for you.

Haha, actually we have offered to a few JUCO's and I think a few have verbally committed, so we will see.

I've heard a lot of JUCO's don't usually pan out though (this would be my first experience).

All info from 247 sports:

App has a verbal from the #30 DT JUCO. Has offers from USA, Ark St., and Troy.

We are hoping to land the #4 ILB JUCO as well. Offers from S. Fl., WMU, AZ St., and GA St. His final two are App and S. Fl., unfortunately he is visiting S. Fl. this weekend. He would be the third highest rated player on our committment list thus far.

We sit at 22 verbals right now, three seem soft though.

It's down to us and USF for Harley pretty much. We just picked up his JUCO teammate, Montez McGuire, a good friend of his. Hopefully that will help, but having his final visit before signing day be to an AAC team is nerve racking.

As does Georgia State. I have to admit I didn't expect either of us to top the conference in recruiting yet. Impressed by both classes. I guess it's also a testament to the quality of HS football in Georgia. Your class is full of them for obvious reasons, and exactly half of our class is from Georgia (including 4 of our top 6), a trend App has been seeing for the last several years.

I am surprised coming off a 0-12 season. Especially surprised at the JUCOs.

The number one prerequisite for JUCOs is immediate playing time thus I would expect all newbies to do well on that front.

Unfortunately, that doesn't always happen. As in every other recruit, you can come in and make an impact or be a total bust.

RE: 2014 Recruiting
When is the december LOI day?

UI Has 3 known JC commits, a LB who is near the top of all JC players in tackles, an OG who will provide critical depth on a very young and thin OL and a mammoth 325lb DT which will hopefully replace our star DT who has a good chance of getting drafted. I'm sure more JC commits are coming, but I don't know who is eligible to sign in the spring.

I would expect to see a few more DB's, OL and DL come in, maybe a WR too, but time will tell.

We should have 3 grayshirts joining the team this Jan too. A RB, a DB (would not shock me to see 3 or more DB's lose their starting jobs) and a kid who will either be a WR or DB. There's going to be a lot of interesting position battles this spring, I'm sure the staff is telling a lot of prospects there is a chance they'll be starting here next fall.
