We ran away with it at the end when our freshman players came in and started hitting all their shots.
Yeah, they started hitting everything at the end of the game. Ugly game and disappointed that we couldn't keep it under 20. :(

Congrats Rockets. I'm hoping to make it downtown to watch you guys ply Cleveland State next week. Still think you guys will be undefeated heading into Kansas.
Also, Ohio beats Alabama A&M 72-47 in front of a small crowd in Athens. As you probably guessed, no students and a low major buy game equaled a less than electric atmosphere. Hope that changes for UMass.
Edited for typos.
attendance listed at 5,336. Hopefully we'll have more for UMass.

it'll depend on the weather and how many of the townies come out. I hope it's a good crowd, but I'm not holding my breath. even more than that, I hope we win even if we play in front of only 10 people! LOL

umass is a huge game for ohio. a win will be a huge boost to postseason hopes. umass is #1 in rpi.
akron has a big stretch coming up too. sched could wind up (depending on tourney brackets) Oregon st, iowa st, boise st, s Carolina over 6 days.
Toledo goes on a long road trip to Jonesboro, Arkansas. then comes home to play cleve st.
kent has a long break.
eastern plays at duke and Syracuse at the end of the month
will be interesting to see how the top of the league closes the non conf season.

Our game against Cleveland State next Saturday is in Toledo. Didn't want you heading into downtown Cleveland for no good reason. If the weather is good come west to Toledo for the game--we'll sell you a ticket!
Whoops haha. I could swear the CSU schedule I saw said vs not at haha. Thanks.

Interesting, and someone please daa ble check, but I think the MAC this morning is +19.
We are definitely beating the teams we are supposed to.

Listening to Russ and Rob on the webcast, they were guessing 3500 butts in seats. And all the crowd shots I saw I thought they were being generous.

if you heard Russ and Rob say it was 3500 you were listening to the wrong game because Rob wasn't on the call for A&M, he was out sick. I heard Russ say a guess of "over 4k".

Force of habit to type just Russ and Rob. But yes it was said 3500 maybe 4K. Either way, a small crowd, and certainly smaller than the 5336 reported.

WMU down at Mizzou by nine at the half. Broncos are mired in a huge shooting slump for the second straight game. If they could have even hit the board side of the barn, they would have hung with Northwestern and would have been much closer to the Tigers at halftime.

Broncos fall 66-60. We kept within single digits for almost the entire second half, but couldn't get over the hump.
The ESPN recap blames Missouri being "rusty" after having an "eight-day break for final exams." Never mind that the Broncos did too.

This reminds me of one of my main peeves in sports:
Announcers, etc., and yes, fans, who don't see both sides of a game.
There are events which affect each side but fans typical know those which affect their team.
But worse, are announcers, writers, etc. who should as indicated above know BOTH sides of the game. They're rusty; we're rusty. We have injuries; they have injuries. The weather was bad and affected our passing; the weather was bad...

Big night tonight for Ball State basketball: men at Marquette (FS1) at 9 p.m., women home to No.7 Louisville ( http://www.ballstatesports.com) at 7 p.m. One wag said, "I hope we score."

Yep, had a good chance for a signature win but let it slip through our fingers. (then the Lions game happened and got me even more grumpy)
