According to the AP story, in the latest straw poll from HeismanPundit.com, which has correctly predicted the last seven Heisman winners, Winston is a runaway winner ahead of distant second-place finisher, Jordan Lynch. The point being, Lynch is second.

Sure like to see him finish the highest of any MAC player since the two that were previously finalists (finishing 4th and 5th I think) were from a program that has left the MAC.

And have you seen the C-USA commercial with Michelle Beadle where they basically say that Randy Moss was a Heisman finalist at a C-USA school? They're trying to take credit or something that happened in the MAC.

Depends on how you look at it I guess. Technically, Randy Moss was a Heisman finalist at a school that's in the C-USA, even though that wording is very misleading.

Leftwich was in the Heisman race but didn't make the top 4 to NYC. Moss, Pennington and Leftwich represented the MAC proudly. Congrats to Lynch, great player and well deserved.
