Quote:Arbuckle is a 6'2, 225lbs pro style signal caller with very good physical tools. He has good mobility and plays with a physicality at the position that this program has not experienced. Nick displays very good accuracy and arm angle. He plays taller than his 6'2 frame and has tremendous footwork in the pocket. Arbuckle looks comfortable in what some scouts call a "muddy pocket" with bodies falling around him. He has very good arm strength and touch displaying enough heat on passes when needed. Nick plays with a chip on his shoulder and it's very possible some schools saw that he was "only" 6'2 and moved on.

Simply put, Nick is an impact player and is listed as a composite three star prospect. He is the #2 ranked JUCO QB in the country and the type of quarterback coaches would build in a lab. Arbuckle has a rock star quality about him and we had a chance to catch up with him last week to discuss his visit for the South Alabama game and he ravved about the coaching staff:

"The staff is just not one you'd find at a Sun Belt school. I mean [head] coach Miles is great, [offensive coordinator] Coach Jags, I still don't know how to pronounce his full name, [laughs] is amazing. I mean he's coached at Boston College and with the Green Bay Packers. [QB] Coach [Luke] Huard just visited my family this week and is a great guy. My dad and I were talking about how he reminded us of Peyton Manning a bit in the way he approaches offense and the game itself."

Other teams that Nick was considering included Virginia Tech, UMASS, New Mexico State and UNLV.

2013 Stats: 250 completions of 373 attempts (67.0% completion) for 3774 yards and 40 passing touchdowns.
