I saw the predictions below for the Big Ten Bowls on ESPN. This would leave two unfilled bowls if Ohio State goes to the Orange Bowl. Has anyone heard anything about those two spots? Any chance Toledo goes to Dallas?

Just saw somewhere it will probably be UNLV in Dallas and another post on here it will probably be Pitt in Detroit, never mind.

Im dying to know how the belt got squeezed out of their backup bid to the Pizza Bowl..

Our previous commissioner was incompetent.

Not that the new one is any better.

Belt fans might not know this, but Karl Benson was once the MAC commissioner- back when we had 1 bowl game and no national tv and sporadic regional tv

Times were different, but I always felt he was pretty ineffective for us

Also, I swear I read something on a Sun Belt forum discussing the "backups"...the Little Caesars back up was something like- has to take a Sun Belt if no other conference had a team available. It sounded like the dumbest thing I had ever heard.

Pizza Bowl is folding after this season. I am sure they did whatever they could to line up the best game for the finale and seems they did with MAC Champ vs ACC. I doubt there was much thought about the Sun Belt with better teams on the board and the game going away.

Most likely it expired and the Pizza Eaters look at the numbers in FBS and the number of bowls and decided they'd be likely to get a lower tier P5 school if the Big Ten came up short, so didn't see any point in renewing it.
