Tulane has two very good running backs in Orleans Darkwa and Rob Kelley. Nick Montana's shoulder should be completely healed by December 21. Tulane has a great wide receiver in Grant who will be going to the Senior Bowl. Our defense and take aways have been approving all season. Our field goal kicker is the best in the country,a Lou Groza award winner last year. With Broadway out it should be a close interesting game!

Seconded. He had a field day against our secondary to the tune of 190 yards.

After your "big win" over Tulane by one or two points early in the season what bowl game wants the Jaguars or you sitting home the holidays watching Tulane versus ULL on ESPN!

I know I should be excited we're heading to our 3rd straight bowl game after all of the mediocre and bad years we've had, but excitement still hasn't kicked in for me after the late season 2-game skid...especially with Broadway being out.

USA made mistakes (3 turnovers) in the second half to allow Tulane back into the game. And with the refs help, Tulane scored the last touchdown (we had intercepted the ball but the refs overturned it) to make it that close. That's what happens in games though.

Bottom line is that a first year FBS team beat your 120 year old program in your own house. You got beaten. By a first year FBS team. Go somewhere else with your smack.

Vegas normally ends up correct. But the opening line is rarely that close.

shows you how political the polls are..every year there are some unranked teams favored over top 25 teams by the odds makers and they are usually right.

We certainly didn't play well the last two games and limp into this bowl game with 2 straight losses and an injured QB who makes our team geaux. But, Tulane lost 3 of its last 4 games and also lost to USA. I expect this to be a good game. A lot depends on whether Broadway can play because our freshmen backup QBs have not performed well to date. With 2 weeks to prepare, I still like Louisiana's chances.

I sure got a chuckle out of it. Savacool's basically been a troll here, and not a very good one.

I am not a troll. I come on this board to give a different opinion. You know what team that I support. I see posts of posters on this Sunbelt board on the CUSA board every day calling us Toolame etc. Lighten up and let us have a little light smack talk and enjoy a very close hotly contested football game on the 21st between two in state rivals, public v private!

Cheers! I agree, while I of course want ULL to ground you into the dirt, I can appreciate your attitude so props! And here's to a great game!
