Why not? I say, go for it.

YEP!!!! Good luck to ULM!!! Hope it works for them. 04-rock

Yea I've changed my mind about it. It's a little crazy but if it works good for them. I'm not so sure it would be good for us. Did ULM make any money last year from the Indy Bowl?

RE: Really ULM?
ULM sold all of their required 15K allotment of tickets. The remaining 5-7K fans bought from somewhere else. We did not lose money as many want to think and we did start the game in freezing wet weather with our side and part of the end zones pretty full (20K). By late in the 3Q most had left as the weather and team got worse.

Indy Bowl needs a full side to show on TV (visitor side), which is where they put ULM last year. Of the teams left on their list with ULM, the rest bring 2-3K max.

RE: Really ULM?
The best outcome today for ULM is the following:

UCF win over SMU
ULL win over USA
USF win over Rutgers (ughhh)

It will then come down to ULM and either Oregon State or Washington State (only one PAC 12 left) for the open SEC slot in the bowl.

20K sounds right from what I saw on TV. Where do they get that 41,000 figure from? To be fair it was a miserable looking day. I'm pulling for you guys to get the invite. It will comical to see the Tech board erupt! Good luck ULM!04-cheers

41K is tickets sold. I don't think the I bowl ever announced actual attendance, but we represented well. I stayed the whole game and thawed out finally the next morning.

Uh ohhhhhhhh...

We've had that slogan for several years. It's meant to show that we a state-based school and what you see from ULM is representative of the state of Louisiana. It is not a declaration of the use of the University of Louisiana name. Nice try.

Who is 81 in that photo? I can't read the name, but I'm assuming he was a fairly successful NFL guy?

Jeron Hamm 86, I think that is his major below him. He is a senior and was injured most of the year. We really missed him too, he is a big target 6-4 220
