The SEC is 5 - 1. Texas A&M, South Carolina, L.S.U., Ole Miss, & Miss State have won and Georgia is the only loss. If Alabama is victorious tonight it guarantees us a winning bowl season. Then if any two of Auburn, Missouri, and Vanderbilt win it guarantees us the best bowl record of the P5 conferences. A Bama win means we finish ahead of the ACC & Big 10 no matter what. A Missouri wins puts us ahead of the Big 12 no matter what. It takes two out of three to guarantee fewer losses than the PAC.

Georgia's season ended the same way it played out, dinged up and losses attributed to big plays and dropped passes.

Georgia fans were probably empty of emotions by the time those 3 dropped passes in the 4th quarter occurred. I have been that way with the Tennessee Titans for a few years. It is bad when you come to expect those things to happen.
One play beat Georgia. The 99 yard pass where the danged safety didn't cover the fly route on the wide receiver. Only two guys went out on the pattern and 4 defensive backs (playing a damned zone) failed to pick up either of them. That play not only increased the deficit, but eroded all of the momentum the Dawgs had built up in the third quarter. It was devastating and eerily reminiscent of plays against Clemson and Auburn.

Well Mizzou represented and took out the other Okie team. I knew this game would be tough. That was not a fun 60 minutes. lol

Medic, the game shouldn't have been close. Missouri was the much better rounded football team. Pinkel almost stayed too loyal to Franklin tonight, especially since Matty looked like he was on fire during his drive. His touchdown pass went through about a 6 inch window of error and landed right in the receivers hands. Franklin almost threw several picks and did throw 1. He was responsible for both fumbles and overthrew his receivers all night long. I know he is a senior and that was his last game, and I am elated you guys got the win, but all of us watching here tonight wondered why Pinkel didn't try Mauk again. The sluggish play of Franklin lost all of the momentum the Tigers had going into the third quarter and the 10 points the Cowboys scored off of the turnovers were what cost the Tigers a easy win. But hey it was a great win anyway and congratulations on a great season! The SEC knows you guys finished 2nd in the conference and now there is no Alabama to claim that they were really better than our two teams. JR

Yep. We gave them 14 points in fumbles which made it much closer. Josey bailed us out all night long. Franklin overthrew everyone all night. The worst game I ever saw him play. I wasn't liking the tag team quarterbacks thing either. I guess he managed when he had too. Good luck with FSU Monday. If Auburn plays up to their abilities it will be a great game. It was Missouri's first bowl game as an SEC member and I was wanting to represent the SEC well on the big stage. That stadium was full last night. Playing an old Big XII team, after listening to the OU fans scream Big XII, Big XII, Big XII at the end of the game made it personal for me. I told my wife I would take five SEC losses next year to beat OSU tonight on Fox. lol

Well you got the win, put the SEC over the hump for bowl wins, and did us proud! But, with Mauk around I don't think it will cost you 5 losses next year.

We will be in good hands with Mauk. They have another freshman which he will have to compete with too, who is awesome. I wonder if the NCAA will demote the side judge who ruled DGB out of of bounds three times...all three being overturned upon review.

Congrats Medic - you guys had a really fine year. 04-cheers

Now comes the hard part - doing it again now that you've gotten yourself on the conference radar. If your opponents underestimated you after a snakebit first year and coming over from another conference, it certainly won't happen again.
