NMSU to begin SBC play with new DC
...and believe me, we need it. I have to give it to Coach Martin, he has a vision and is being given the resources to implement the vision. Time will tell if it is a good vision, but things are looking up. The offense, while not great, was serviceable and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel there. The defense has been terrible this year, even though they were the most experienced. There is a lot of work needed on this side of the ball, which will take some time. Of NMSU's 22 Seniors this year, 12 of them were on the two deep on defense. A nice opportunity for anew DC to come in and start fresh.

GO AGGIES!!!

By the way, this fan is excited for my alma mater to start playing in this conference again. I am hopeful we can start pulling our weight sooner rather than later, although it won't likely be the first season.

Wow Elson is or was still coaching in FBS? No wonder you guys were horrible on defense....Elson is a nice guy but is not a coach at FBS level, we tried if first for you guys and he was fired quickly when it was evident he did not know how to run a FBS program..

I also laughed how some National Media piped up when we fired him around 6 games in season when everyone thought we jumped the gun....I guess we got last laugh on that move....

I watched a couple of your games. One was the worst FBS effort I have ever seen. The other wasn't half bad at all. Hard to believe it was the same team.

Hope you guys make a quality hire and get that program going in the right direction. It's just better for everyone if you guys, and Idaho and Ga St, start winning some games.

Glad to hear the university is giving the coach both the freedom and tools he needs to turn things around out there.

Hope y'all get a good hire, with some excitement behind him to bring in the recruits as well.

Well, unfortunately for you, then. That is the offense NMSU employs as well, so we'll at least see a version of it every day in practice. :). Besides, right now it's not all that difficult to beat us. Hopefully that changes soon.

GO AGGIES!!!
