I don't see what embarrassing about being conference champs something you want, and playing in the NOB something else you want. What's embarrassing is only getting two teams in bowl games when you have five that are eligible. We can only go where we are invited. So either everyone in the conference can schedule cup cake games to make our OC schedule look better or we can continue the fight to make the conference respectable and better.

In case others don't get it, individual members of the Belt are not allowed to politic with Bowls on their own....they must go through the Commissioner's office....majority of us would rather play a ACC team in Indy Bowl or have played NIU.....if we were going to get the NO Bowl we preferred Rice...Tulane is the 3rd future AAC team that we play in row at the NO Bowl(SDSU was headed there but remained in the MWC)....3 wins in a row against 3 members of the AAC Conference in a Bowl game aint a bad thing....make the best of it, draw another 40,000 Cajun fans against maybe 20,000 Wave fans and embarrass them in their own home town...but 1st...1st win our last 2 games...

That's all we can do now, make the best of it. We need two wins to seal the championship and then turn our attention to Tulame!

I guess I'm kind of confused about this.

You wanted GoDaddy if it meant NIU as an opponent, but NIU is likely headed to the BCS, you wanted Indy, but the ACC doesn't want to play a Sun Belt team(that is what I read, right?) and if you must play in NOLA, you'd prefer to play Rice, but if Rice wins today they win their division, which will slot them well above NOLA. So what is it exactly that your admin or the league admin could do differently?

ACC keeping us out of the Indy are grossly overplayed. I know for a fact we were in talks with the Indy. What we could have done differently is let the process play out and see what happens. This is not a situation of MT or La Tech last year, we will win the conference, it's only a formality at this point, and when that happens, we have to be slotted in a bowl game, so with that said, there is no reason to rush to a bowl game when the possibility of heading to a bowl against an ACC opponent on New Years is a possibility. Instead of letting the process play out, we're taking the first offer chucked at us, which yet again sends us to New Orleans and this time against an opponent that would get drubbed by the past 2 opponents we faced in New Orleans. I actually wouldn't have been upset even against UNT or MT in New Orleans, but Tulane is just not a great team.

Maybe so but that's a bold statement with two dangerous foes left. Anything can happen.

I will preface this by saying I know nothing about your administration, but if you were in talks with Indy and all of the sudden things just changed and you accepted the only bid you were assured of? Surely your administration is not that out of touch with your fan base, wouldn't make sense to just voluntarily break off conversations with Indy, but if it wasn't the ACC freezing you what else could it have been? Surely there's something more going on than your admin just walking away from Indy for a bowl that was always going to be there.

Lets just say that they went the way the fans wanted. While there are the vocal opponents like me, Zee and Crazycajun, but a larger majority wanted New Orleans...yet again.

We'd have to lose both games and stAte would have to win their game today. A lot of things would have to fall into place. I'd say chances of us not winning the conference are between 10-15% at this point.
