Our 2-10 schedule was bad enough for this fan. 0-12 has to be terrible. Good luck to GSU, but it was nice to get that win after so many here were predicting the upset and offering us up as the "first to lose to GSU" sacrificial lamb.

On to next week. One more win to make it six. It'll be tough, but bring on the Cajuns.

Good luck to y'all next week.

Glad this season is over, can't believe this season is over, can't wait for next season to begin.

Only thing worse than 0-12 is 0-0.

What's the point? GSU's attendance sucks during 1-11 and 0-12 back-to-back seasons? It's irrelevant to the game.

It was more a point as to the traveling USA fans. I was surprised we had as many as we did considering the records and it's Iron Bowl Gameday.

You have a good coach and can actually recruit for FBS now. Ideally, you should have waited another year to move up, but you didn't have that luxury.

Agreed. Nice turnout by USA fans, especially considering they have to drive by Auburn on the way home about the time the Iron Bowl ends.
Your comments about attendance were not disrespectful, just an honest inquiry as to how the proportions were shaking out.

I really was worried about this game. It's nice to see South mature over the last couple of weeks and put together a couple of nice games. ULL better watch out, we want that 6th win.

Not bad for a team that was expected to win 2 games and finish just ahead of GaSt in the SBC. 04-cheers

You'll improve greatly. Your new coach seems to be pretty good. Let him fill a roster with his own recruits and I think you'll see a whole different GSU team and attitude (along w/attendance) in your dome.

I was impressed with GSU over the last half of the season. They could have just mailed it in but they didn't and almost knocked off a few teams this year. They will be able to build a program. I saw lots of recruits at the game today.

RE: South Alabama @ Georgia State Game Thread (2pm ET/1pm CT)
I was at the game and yes, the attendance was low. GAST fans should be disappointed and I know they are, but they have committed to FBS and hopefully they can live up to it. As far as attendance goes, I have been disappointed in some of our games this year. I thought we would do much better. I am very proud of the way the Jags have been playing lately except for the beatdown by Navy. We have won 5 games this year and that is a great accomplishment for a team that is about to finish it's 5th season of football. I don't really expect us to beat ULL, but it would NOT surprise me if we did. Good luck, Georgia State on recruiting and preparing for next year. Personally, I want this to become a great southern rivalry for the future.

Thanks to all who have managed to post encouragement here. That's more than a lot of our fans are able to muster right now.

The Jaguars took control early and never let up. Definitely not the way we wanted to end the year. Nowhere to go but up. Go Panthers!

The great news for Gast fans is they have a sleepwalk cupcake for their next home game against the Abilene Christian Wildcats.

Time to easily end that 13 game HOME losing streak in da dome.

Ok, fair enough. Sorry if I misunderstood your point, it just seemed to me initially as the sort of comment we GSU fans read all the time and are, frankly sick of seeing. We know GSU has issues to overcome, just tired of outside observers thinking they can see what we can't or that they know better than we do how to fix it.

Disappointing game for Panther fans, especially given that the team had been playing better with, essentially, a FCS roster, a new staff, and a long losing season. Jags never let up, played well.

Miles will turn us in a better direction. We'll be competitive, which ought to attract more fans, though there is lots of legacy at GSU to overcome.

No such thing as a "sleepwalk cupcake" when trying to get that first win under a new staff that is trying to change the culture. Bet Florida was thinking GaSo would be a W before the game started, no doubt the vast majority of their fans probably thought that too.
