I concur....students gone for the holidays, 30% of Warren County residents are recent (last 20 yrs) transplants from other areas of the country and will travel to their original homes for the holidays, etc, etc. Announced attendance will be adequate. Butts in seats will be another story. Prove me wrong Bowling Green.
In 1990, Warren County had 76,000 residents. Today there are 115,000.
How many people actually travel out of BG for Thanksgiving? I dont think its as many as we act like...All I know when I am on the interstate going back to BG Thanksgiving morning their is no traffic anywhere...I think its kind of overblown, Thanksgiving is on Thursday, the game is on Saturday! But I am glad to see its not just a WKU problem, but we will be lucky to have 10k for Saturdays game....
It got to the point a few years ago where I only will travel on Thanksgiving Day because there is so little traffic on the road. Its that way everywhere. I'll be able to drive home tomorrow and make record time.
There are a lot more people on the road in the days around it because so many places close for a few days over the break.
(I am not sure my family is overly thrilled with having to delay the meal until 2:00 waiting on me every year...but I don't really care for Thanksgiving in general...so they'll live)

Its going to be interesting in Cajun Country. LSU plays on Friday so there's no conflict there with the band wagon Tiger fans. The high will be 64 no rain and we're playing for a share of the conference championship against an in-state school. I would hope that we would have a good if not great turn out for Saturday night game.
Dosen't deer season start the day after Thanksgiving?
Looking for a mediocre crowd, 24k. Hoax fans won't travel, and Cajun fans are not interested in watching a beating of the Hoax, a bad team. They also are not interested in watching an upset to a bad Hoax team.
In spite of what you hear, most Cajun fans do not see this as a rivalry only an impediment.
We also hold the entire ULM university in contempt for attempting to thwart our goals instead of blazing their own trail. This is typical of all other schools in the ULS, and LSUS, more interest in slowing others than growing themselves.
That all sounds very self-righteous, but maybe ULL should try playing by the rules they formally agreed to on the name issue. Otherwise, I doubt that ULM or any other state institution wishes to impede your progress toward legitimate aspirations.

Not bad for a meaningless 4-8 season.

Better than not bad, down right impressive for a 4-8 FCS program. There potential there for a building a very good Sun Belt football program.

Our attendance usually averages around 20k... And actually the last two years (both losing season) were our highest averages ever. Go figure.

RE: This weeks attendance
We averaged 14,900 this year. I know our attendance was capped at 18000 with construction but 14,900 was a bit disappointing. Hopefully with the Florida win and a the feel of a new stadium next year we will increase that. I fully expect us to see a bump up next year.

We averaged 20,000 last regular season so I would expect that much and more next year.
