First BP I've seen that has 7 MAC teams in it. Includes CMU and Ohio.

They already have CMU bowl eligible, guess we don't have to play EMU.

It's a projection. Rutgers only has 5 wins and they are projected in a bowl as well. Same with Colorado State.

Good to see someone who actually understands the bowl process, and how the MAC has more than three tie-ins when accounting for secondary bids. Here are the projections in case you don't feel like reading for whatever reason:
Potato: Buffalo vs. UNLV
St. Pete: Toledo vs. East Carolina
Pizza: Ball State vs. Pitt
Poinsettia: OU vs. SDSU
Fiesta: NIU vs. Oklahoma State
BBVA Compass: CMU vs. Marshall
Mobile: BG vs. stAte

I agree except for one thing, I believe Sunbelt has a secondary Pizza Bowl tie-in. I'd like to know why he put Pitt in there.

Phil Steele also projects Ball State-Pitt in LCP Bowl.

RE: Sports Illustrated Stewart Mandel Bowl Projections
You'll notice the projection of C-USA vs MAC at Legion Field. If the SEC does not have enough eligible teams they can force the Liberty (Memphis) to trade opponents with the BBVA (Birmingham). The C-USA champ would then lose the bid to Liberty but the conference would get a spot in Birmingham.

If these work out, Ohio BETTER kick SDSU's butt all over the field.

I don't know how to fit this into Stewart's equations, but ACC will probably have over 10 eligible teams.
They will be a 'donor'.

I suspect these will be roughly as accurate as Howie Mandel's projections.

I love my Bobcats, so it pains me to say it, but the Aztecs will kick their Azz if this game actually happens.

At the risk of getting ahead of myself (and my team), I'd love to see us play Marshall.

I was going to say he figured that the Sunbelt would only have four bowl eligible & so would place two in their primary tie-ins and two in bowls that they prefer, leaving the Pizza Pizza Bowl Bowl free. Except I don't see stAte in his projection.
If Texas State ends up at Heart of Dallas, which AFAIU given their home gate this year would not be shocking, and if the two games between bowl eligible and bubble teams go to the bowl eligible schools, then given that all three of their secondary bowls have a conference that will be short of bowl eligible schools, it seems possible that they'll prefer one of the other two.
But I don't know the details of their other secondary tie-ins ~ they might be a back-up to the conference that has enough bowl eligible schools, rather than the one that will come up short.
If it comes down to a Sunbelt school with UL-Lafayette in Louisiana and TexasSt. in Texas, then given how badly Western Kentucky traveled last time, I'd prefer stAte.

I really don't see that happening. If CUSA gets screwed out of the Liberty, I can see CUSA working with the bowls to send Marshall to the Military to face an ACC opponent, while sending MTSU to Birmingham, which would be easier travel for their fans.

Mandel is one of the most accurate BUT the MAC secondary tie in with BOB/BBVA is either or not both...as the sun belt also has a secondary agreement with the BOB.

RE: Sports Illustrated Stewart Mandel Bowl Projections
BTW, isn't our best hope for a BCS bid for NIU to finish in the top 12 and automatically qualify for a game regardless of how the AAC champ places inside/outside the top 16?
Assume NIU has a good win in the MACC and several teams ranked say 8 - 13 in last Sunday's BCS standing lose, then doesn't NIU have a real good shot at moving up to the magic #12 slot?
E.g., MSU (#11) plays both Minnesota and OSU (B1G Championship game). Two shots at losing or heaven forbid twice.
This scenario presumes, I think correctly, that NIU maintains its lead over FSU (Fresno State, not Florida State. Lol).
