Seems like as a conference we've already achieved more notable OOC wins than we did all of last season. We still have a lot of shots at some really good wins. Hopefully we can all pull off another one or two, and help the conference earn a second bid.

Drexel is a notable game?

Some C-USA teams are likely playing in tourneys this holiday season and will have notable opportunities not listed. For instance, UTEP will play either Xavier or Iowa on 11/29 depending on the outcome of games on the 28th. Both of those teams will count as notable.

Tech is starting a tournament in like an hour and the only big notable game that could happen is if they make it to the championship vs. St Bonaventure

Well at least that St. Bona game won't be in Olean so, there's that.

The Southern Miss win at North Dakota State is very underrated ... arguably more impressive than winning at Depaul.

I'm with you OC.. .The win over NDS was a better win than over Depaul (it just happens to be a conference stigma against NDS).

Drexel is 3-1...they have a win over Rutgers and lost a very close game at #22 (5-0) UCLA 67-72.

Drexel was supposed to be a top 25 caliber team last year but Chris Fouch got injured early on and they lost their "bruising" identity on defense.

Fouch is back for a 6th year, Frantz Massenat and Damion Lee would be all CUSA players at the #1 and #2 and Dartaye Ruffin and Tavon Allen aren't far behind. If they stay healthy and defend they should be a top 50-100 team easy this year.

I didn't say Drexel was bad. They have a fine team. But notable? Based on what? They went to the NIT 2 years ago. No other post season play in the last 5 or 6 years. They are not ranked. How do they make anyone's notable opponent list?

RE: C-USA Basketball's notable non-conf. wins thus-far thread (and future notables)
They will be a "notable" game be/c chances are they will have a high RPI (a notable RPI...probably top-50) at season's end.........thus making it a "notable" game. A win against them would be a win against a Top-50 RPI team. They play #4 Arizona in the semi-final Wed. night and they have a good chance of winning that game.

I think ECU can take NCSU, but IDK if one will be able to call it notable by the end of the year. NCSU might be just as bad in bb as they are in FB this year.

Saw UNC-Charlotte beat #14 Michigan.

Put down as an early believer that Charlotte could be a top C-USA at the end of the year.

Good athleticism, decent size and shooters.

The 'Runners are going to have tough times with both Texas Tech and Arkansas.

Texas Tech, TCU and Washington are all just named opponents. I don't think they've proven enough to be included as notable to C-USA.

I get that they may be very notable for the fan bases who's teams may recruit against them or work with their alums.

While the NCSU game may not be notable from an RPI perspective (looking likely at the moment), any time you beat one of the schools on tobacco road it is a notable win for perception, especially as a school in the same state.
