RE: We are playing Carden in garbage time because our backup is redshirting
The pussification of America continues.

I had to listen to some Wolfpack fan yell "Way to keep it Classy, ECU!" when we went for it on 4th down in the 2nd quarter.

When Navy or Rice was dropping 60 or 70 on us a couple years ago, I blamed our defense, not Navy or Rice. Great Jeebus.

Emptying the bench when the game is out of hand is not a new phenomenon.

Oh my bad! I should have said you insuated what ECU coaches should have done. Either way...put a team on the field that can stop the other team. It is pretty simple. Either way...it was not worth burning a redshirt for next year's back up and probable future starter to save UAB some hurt feelings.

They did the same thing to UAB.

Hell, as thin as UAB is, we've got a walk-on we could run out there if push came to shove. I find it hard to believe ECU has exactly one available quarterback.

Circle the part where I offered any advice to your coaches.

RE: We are playing Carden in garbage time because our backup is redshirting
I remember when ECU was getting completely destroyed by Navy (x2), UNC (x a bunch), and freaking Rice thinking "man those guys are real meany heads for not just giving ECU the ball back every time they got it instead of scoring at will." Wait, no I was pissed at ECU for not manning up and actually stopping those teams' offensive units...

My feelings aren't hurt. I'm just offering my opinion.

This is an internet message board, after all.

Also, note I didn't say burn a kid's redshirt. What I said was I find it hard to believe ECU has exactly one available QB.

I didn't say your feelings specifically were hurt. However, there has been a lot of whining about how ECU run up the score blah blah blah.
And for the record, throwing in a scout team guy could end with someone really getting hurt (to include said scout team guy).

I agree with Smaug about there not being another player who can hand the ball off. And there is a big difference between the game vs. NC State this past weekend and the game against UAB a couple weeks ago.

Nah, just got married and still paying off the honeymoon. I'm hard pressed to spend extra money watching my Eagles play football anymore.

Someone from Middle Tennessee commenting on the ability to get into ECU is laughable…I am sure you do not want to compare acceptance rates and institutional rankings. ECU is no damn Top Tier University by any means but I find it laughable that someone from a University that has a higher acceptance rate and is not even classified as a National University would take an academic shot at ECU.

Just the facts
Average ACT ECU = 22
Average ACT MT = 22

You are wrong. We are classified as a national university. A little fact checking ahead of time will save you a lot of embarrassment.

If you want to compare one-on-one bring it on. I went undergrad to UT. Accepted to Vanderbilt, Harvard, Penn and Yale but family couldn't afford and they made just enough I couldn't get grants. I refused to sell myself out to student loans the rest of my life. Wasn't worth it. MT did just fine by me for my MBA.

So consider challenge accepted if you want to go one-on-one from an academic intelligence perspective.

It is interesting how when one ECU fan's insult of your university is shot down, two other ECU mouth-breathers come in with sarcasm. When your facts cannot be disproven, the other side resorts to witticisms and insults. Textbook.

And before any ECU fans pull out the time-honored KY in-bred, toothless hillbilly comments, I was born and raised in FL so there are no toothless, in-bred hillbillies in my family tree.

Boy, a WKU fan coming to the defense of 3ibL. What is the world coming to?

Have to admit it's a bit disconcerting.

No worries though. I'm just in it for the chicks....
