Personally, I think signing offensive and defensive linemen are much more important right now than a quarterback. The main advantage of our situation is the possibility to get in the gym and get used to college. We can get a quarterback next year and be just as good.
I haven't been following FB recruiting that closely. Thus far, have we only signed HS kids, or we have gotten transfers too, both jucos and from other programs?

I think one of them is a transfer from a school in Charleston. It said he will have three years of eligibility for us. The rest are high school. Of course with walk ons I do not know. Does anyone have an idea how many athletes have walked on already?

Trevor Gilliam is the transfer from Charleston. He will have 3 years of eligibility remaining. He is the only transfer that has been announced.

Reminds me of former ETSU QB Michael George who I was good friends with.
I REALLY like what they're doing with this class. When you read about the players signed, most of them have a good frame and strength, but seem raw. Perfect for redshirting and developing them. Also, most of them have really good grades and will qualify for instate tuition, which will keep scholarship costs down in the year where there are no real games.
The LB from Blackman plays his arse off, btw. I wish he could bring a few more with him, and maybe grab a couple from Oakland, Riverdale, Siegel, Ravenwood and Brentwood. Continue to find young men like this, and when they work on the club thing in earnest, really press to find boys on campus that chose not to play for whatever the reason, get 100 guys to come out, and if you find 10 that can contribute then holy cow.
And I would expect transfers, JUCO's and more out of state recruiting in next year's class.
Upperman QB Connor York apparently visited ETSU last weekend. He had an incredible season and would be a very exciting get, IMO.
York owns the TSSAA record for total offense in a game by an individual with his 713-yard effort — 337 yards passing and 376 yards rushing — in the Bees’ playoff contest against Tyner Academy. That game, with UHS’ 733 yards of offense, also stands as the state record holder for a team. York is also the state record holder in most combined rushing and passing touchdowns in a season (72) and in a career (134).
He is the national record holder for total offense in a game, shattering Kogan Garrett (Lexington, Texas) and his 616-yard game in 2011. York also ranked ninth nationally in total yards per game (366.8 yards) and 11th in most total yards for a season. York named to All-American team

Hey, there's a QB!
Also this...
With East Tennessee State just two weeks away from signing its first football recruiting class in more than a decade, there are plenty of things going on behind the scenes.
I've been very impressed with the football recruiting so far. We seem to have established a solid defense, offensive line, and now to bring in the offensive playmakers
I can't tell you how excited I am to see ETSU signing football players. It will be fun watching the club team next year to kind of get an idea of what these guys will bring to the table.
