Well I spoke to the devil

I told him to go to HELL!

He said,

"Hey, boy I just come from there."

So I said

"Well, well, (well)

RE: OT: CUSA board Music thread (what are you listening to right now?)
Modern Drummer Magazine has Peart rated 3rd all-time.

https://www.moderndrummer.com/article/ma...mers-time/

Rolling Stone Magazine has him rated 4th.

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music...-2-145194/

Probably safe to say he's at least a top five all-time, with his position varying depending upon what specific criteria are used. His creativity with sounds and his ability to write lyrics set him apart from the rest for me though.

New Eminem album dropped on the 17th and man.... they should have never pissed him off.... cause Kamikaze felt like a warm up and this new one feels like he's really back on that ill tip. I've listed to most of it via youtube.... definitely a solid entry from him.

Yo Stink.

Two days ago my oldest son texted me and said “What are you doing tomorrow night?” I replied ‘no idea’. He never replied back. I figured he might want us to watch my two grandkids at his house and get them down to bed so he and his wife could go out for something.

We were watching my 8 month old grandson (who has a name that would have been a hella good Confederate General name) and I thought he’d let me know what was up when he got here to pick him up.

When he came in he walked over and handed me two tickets in a paper clip. I figured it was for some ballgame he’d won off the radio. He’s one of those folks....ha ha.

Nah. Frikkin’ TOOL tickets for Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. In a suite. The show was excellent as hell. What can I add about TOOL? I’ve never seen them before yet been a big fan forever.

As great as the music and show was the whole night was even better. Nashville is one hour at most unless you’re going during people going to work time. Spending an hour bs’ing with your firstborn - good. Enjoying the music and show from the comfort of a suite - great. Realizing you’ve raised a man that has flip-flopped your relationship to where he has more hookups than you - PRICELESS. Ha ha ha ha.

Dude....nobody has it better than me.

RE: OT: CUSA board Music thread (what are you listening to right now?)
Well I caught TOOL last week in Nashville and then swung all the way to this duo up on Western’s campus last night.

It took place at Van Meter Hall up on top of the hill. I’ve attended many shows there over the years. Saw KISS back around 75 and this was before they were famous. Saw Henry Gross and Barefoot Jerry way back in the day also.

I probably wouldn’t have attended this one but one of the performers was my daughter in law’s brother. They’re unique and put on a good show. I’m never not amazed at how great music sounds in a place that was built in 1911. It’s been renovated several times for infrastructure and comfort but the acoustics are always great. I watched a middle school chorus competition up there when my youngest son was involved and the sound was breathtaking.

Anyhoo, this duo are called the Swedish Jam Factory:

For those that have never heard of Henry Gross:

For those that have never heard of Barefoot Jerry:
