Artist: Plastic Bertrand
Album: Plastic Bertrand
Song: "Ça Plane Pour Moi"
1977 RKM/SABAM Records
Roger François Jouret better known as Plastic Bertrand (born 24 February 1954, Brussels, Belgium) is a Belgian musician, songwriter, producer, editor and television presenter, best known for the 1977 international hit single "Ça plane pour moi" (the second ever French language single in the Billboard Top 100, where it climbed up to number 39), although rumours abound that he allegedly didn't perform vocals on this track. As he was unable to make it on time to the recording studio, vocals duties were allegedly taken over by producer Lou Deprijck. 33 years later, in July 2010, Plastic Bertrand admitted it was in fact Lou Deprijck that was heard on the hit single. Lots of French double-entendres, but the basic translation in the video subtitles is a bad translation. "This works for me me me me me" , "moi" is not "great" it is "me." Still a great song, though!
Wam! Bam!
Mon chat, splatch
Gît sur mon lit
A bouffé sa langue
En buvant dans mon whisky
Quant à moi
Peu dormi, vidé, brimé
J'ai dû dormir dans la gouttière
Où j'ai eu un flash
Hou! Hou! Hou! Hou!
En quatre couleurs
Allez hop!
Un matin
Une louloute est v'nue chez-moi
Poupée de Cellophane
Cheveux chinois
Un sparadrap
Une gueule de bois
A bu ma bière
Dans un grand verre
En caoutchouc
Hou! Hou! Hou! Hou!
Comme un indien dans son igloo
Ça plane pour moi Ça plane pour moi
Ça plane pour moi moi moi moi moi
Ça plane pour moi
Hou! Hou! Hou! Hou!
Ça plane pour moi
Allez hop! La nana
Quel panard!
Quelle vibration!
De s'envoyer
Sur le paillasson
Limée, ruinée, vidée, comblée
"You are the king of the divan!"
Qu'elle me dit en passant houhouhouhou
I am the king of the divan
Ça plane pour moi
Allez hop t'occupes t'inquiètes
Touche pas ma planète
It's not today que le ciel me tombera
Sur la tête
Et que l'alcool me manquera
Hou hou hou hou
Ça plane pour moi
Allez hop ma nana s'est tirée, s'est barrée
Enfin c'est marre, a tout cassé
l'évier, le bar me laissant seul
Comme un grand connard, houhouhouhou
Le pied dans le plat

Artist: The BossHoss
Album: Internashville Urban Hymns
Song: "Ça Plane Pour Moi" (''It works for me")-Country Cover
2005 UMG (on behalf of Universal Music)
The French translation tells the story of a Cat drinking whisky and his owner waking up drunk in the gutter.
The BossHoss is a band from Berlin which started in 2004 with Country & Western style cover versions of famous pop, rock and hip hop songs, for example "Hot in Herre" by Nelly, "Toxic" by Britney Spears and "Hey Ya!" by Outkast. They incorporate stereotypical American cowboy behavior into their act; they wear Stetson hats, tank tops and large sunglasses, display whiskey bottles, and yell "yeehaw". The band refers to their music style as "Country Trash Punk Rock."

Toppy friend reminded me of this one; Thanks, dahbeed!
Great song. I always loved that one.
Here is one almost everyone knows, but few have ever heard.
I kind of grew up around a recording studio, so I was exposed to a lot of talented people with knowledge of music.
That was pretty cool to hear the "original" artist recording, from 1899! Sound fidelity wasn't what it has become these days, of course!
Here's what you were referring to, I would guess:
Frogist: Michigan J. Frog aka Bill Roberts*
Albog: One Froggy Evening
Songs: "Hello! Ma Baby"
Words and Music by Ida Emerson and Joseph E. Howard (1899)
"The Michigan Rag"
Words and Music by Milt Franklyn, Michael Maltese and Chuck Jones, written for the cartoon
"Come Back to Éireann"
Words and Music by Claribel (pseudonym of Charlotte Alington Barnard) (1866)
"I'm Just Wild About Harry"
Words and Music by Eubie Blake and Noble Sissle, written for the musical Shuffle Along (1921)
"Throw Him Down, McCloskey"
Words and Music by John W. Kelly (1890)
"The Michigan Rag" reprise
"Won't You Come Over To My House"
Words by Harry Williams Music by Egbert Van Alstyne (1906)
"Largo al factotum"
Composed by Gioachino Rossini for the opera The Barber of Seville (1816)
"Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone"
Words and Music by Sidney Clare, Sam H. Stept and Bee Palmer (1930)
"Hello! Ma Baby" reprise
*The singer was uncredited, and for years his identity was shrouded in some degree of mystery. Various names were proposed in the past, but the Looney Tunes Golden Collection unequivocally credits the vocals to baritone Bill Roberts, a Los Angeles nightclub entertainer in the 1950s.

Song: "Waitin' In School"
Quote:This is the original "Waitin' In School" music track which was in the movie at the "JACK RABBIT SLIMS" scene, uncut but not on the soundtrack album, however. I recently read some flattering remarks of which I was totally unaware so I thought I might post it here, as it is not available anywhere other than in the movie. ---It is a solo with myself on guitar and vocal. It was a blow to not have it included on the album!...
