Move on. Obviously wheter it was drugs or issues with the staff too much controversy around him right now.

I thought all this was about the money and from the below I think thats all this is. This letter basically allows FAU to wak from him without pay and also ensures that Pelini doesnt owe the University any money.

Florida Atlantic says Carl Pelini lost his coaching job because he failed to report the conduct of a staff member.

"FAU did not terminate your employment because of a finding that you used illegal drugs," FAU interim president Dennis J. Crudele wrote in the letter Tuesday. "Accordingly to clarify these significant points ... your resignation is withdrawn and your separation is converted to a termination with cause based on our finding that you failed to timely report certain conduct of a member of your staff, as required by your contract."

Based on language in Pelini's contract, by being fired with cause he will not be paid by the university, but he also will not owe FAU any money, as he would have if his termination were considered a resignation.

With all due respect, there's no way in hell that Pelini walks a Florida Atlantic sideline as head football coach again.

By the way, he is not a bad coach. Everybody likes to give all the credit to Wright but Pelini must deserve some of it.
