ND defeated Villanova 12-1
Tom Thornton goes to 6-2. He is now 26-10 for his Notre Dame career. He has 54 strikeouts and only 5 walks for the season.

Craig Cooper goes 3-4 to finish with the best career batting average in Big East history at .444.

Cooper won the Big East batting title for the third straight year. He is the first BE player to accomplish that feat.

ND rapped out 14 hits to finish the regular season at 41-14-1, 21-5-1 in conference play.

Only four teams in Big East history have finished with 20 regular season conference wins.......all from Notre Dame.
