Did any SBC teams go to NIT last year?
I know MTSU and WKU went to the NCAAs. Did any other team play postseason basketball?

In the last few years other than the tournament champion have other teams been to postseason in NIT or other postseason tourney?

MTSU and WKU were NCAA teams last year, so we didn't get an NIT berth. MTSU made the NIT quarterfinals the year before that.

I know ASU turned down a CBI invite last year.

Our new coach is playing up that the SBC will be a step up in basketball from the SoCon. He said the SBC is around the 13th rated conference. I know the SoCon was way down last year at something like 26th rated conference. I think there are 30-32 conferences.

Of course when we enter WKU will be gone and they probably helped alot with the conference rating in bball.

Its not replacing WKU as much as it is finding a solid #2. A team could replace WKU, but the last few years we've always had an MTSU to challenge them. Its finding a top two or three that will be difficult.

Still, provided Georgia State develops and ULL, USA, ASU and UALR don't fall off significantly, we'll be fine.

I believe UTA had an NIT invite representing the WAC but I may be wrong

We were in the NIT in 2012. In 2013, we were in the CIT.
