How Long for Chryst?
I'm by no means suggesting that Pitt will replace Chryst soon, but I'm wondering - how long does Chryst get at Pitt? I realize the answer is still more than one season, but my question is in what season does he need to win?

I'm thinking he'll get a longer than usual leash due to the fact that we blew the program up over the past few years. I also still think he's going to pan out.

Although I don't remember how long his contract is, I think another three years would be reasonable considering the state of the program, etc.

I think he needs to get four full seasons unless year three is a complete clusterf*ck.

RE: How Long for Chryst?
This is year 2. I think he gets at least 4 years. Remember that Nordenberg is retiring so whoever the new president is may want his own AD. I don't think it would immediately happen but it might complicate things. I hate to imagine what would happen to some pitt posters and MBs if SP was ever fired. The Pitt MBs - especially Scout and Rivals - will probably set a record for # of hits. lol.......

It's hard to imagine that Pederson will last long after Nordenberg's retirement. He truly is an amazingly polarizing figure. Most of the commentary toward him these days appears to be of the negative variety, though. Even the people who have for quite some time defended his body of work are usually somehow rubbed the wrong way with him. It is also astonishing that he was able to keep his job despite the issues with coaching searches the last 5 years.
