On To The Next One (Week 9)
Well I went 4/5 last week almost perfect, if I wasn't such a big app fan I probably could have gone 5/5 but oh well... Time for this humble mountaineer's predictions...

Future Sun Belt

Saturday 3:30 est ESPN3
Appalachian State University Mountaineers
Vs
Georgia Southern University Eagles: Geo South win. This is what my guts and the stats tell me but I'm iffy in that every year I think we won't beat em we do... First quasi sun belt game for both teams should be exciting but ugly as both teams have checked out a lot this year.

Saturday 7:30 est ESPN3
University of Idaho Vandals
Vs
University of Mississippi Rebels: Ole Miss win. SEC vs these guys= no doubt.

Saturday 8:00 est ESPN3
New Mexico State University Aggies
Vs
Abilene Christian University Wildcats: NMSU win. If they have any chance of winning a game it's this game.

Current Sun Belt members

Tuesday 8:00 PM est ESPN2
University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns
Vs
Arkansas State University Redwolves: ULL win. Arkansas State hasn't really impressed me this year, ULL has been a bit more impressive, I think it will be close but I think ULL wins.

Saturday 4:00 PM est ESPN3
Troy University Trojans
Vs.
Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers: Troy win. As I stated last week this conference is gonna keep letting WKU know how unhappy they are with them leaving.

Saturday 7:00 PM est ESPN3
University of South Alabama Jaguars
Vs
Texas State University Bobcats: Texas State win. I'm also iffy on this one, they are both good teams and I consider them closely matched, lean TX state simply due to the 12th man and their ability to prove me wrong when I think they will lose.

Saturday 7:00 PM est ESPN3
Georgia State University Panthers
Vs.
University of Louisiana at Monroe: ULM win. Georgia State will continue to look better but not manage the upset.

*Newbies*
App State vs GaSo - Gimme Georgia Southern in this rivalry. I like App, and think they bring a lot to the conference, but they are just having a very down year, which has been disappointing for all involved. Hopefully though, they show some life in this one.

Idaho vs Ole Miss - Ole Miss, they will overlook them and Idaho will not get blown out right away, but they will get blown out eventually. Ole Miss will have their plans to get backups in by the 2nd half to give their starters a rest because of the injuries they've suffered over the past 2 weeks.

NMSU vs Abilene Christian - NMSU, if ever there was a chance for them to win, it is this one. I think they beat Abilene and show some life.

*Current*
Louisiana vs stAte - The game is a tight hard game between the 2 all the way to the 4th quarter. Talent level is slightly on the edge for Louisiana, but stAte is still a champion until otherwise determined. Fueled by the home crowd, they keep this game in a shoot out, but the cajuns put up a late TD and the Wolves are not able to march down and respond. Cajuns win 34-28

Troy Trojans vs WKU - WKU is a very talented team, Troy has been living dangerously on the edge the past few weeks and finally in this game they get a few breaks go against them, while WKU learns that running the ball with one of the best in the country is always a better option than putting the ball in Doughty's hands. WKU wins 31-22

Texas State vs USA - South Alabama has played infinitely better since their first game this season. Last week, they took an inferior opponent in Kent State and absolutely took them to the woodshed. On the flip side, Texas State has some confidence issues right now and a stagnant offense. They do have a good running back, so I think they'll try to slow the game down and their defense is pretty solid, but just not enough. 24-13 USA

Ga State vs ULM - If GSU is gonna win a game this year, this is the game. ULM's last time out, they showed absolutely no ability to move the ball, thankfully, their defense didn't have anything to do with it. With that said, an extra week to prepare, and even if Browning is still a week away, I think ULM still has enough to pull off this win, but it's gonna be uncomfortably close for those in Monroe. ULM wins 26-24
