RE: ESPN3 To Broadcast WKU vs Troy - Thoughts & Predictions
I don't do scores, but I do think Troy will win. Watching the WKU vs UL game, WKU looked great in the first quarter. Things just unraveled from there and UL dominated. Now I know Troy is not UL, but I think we have a good shot to win this one pretty convincingly. Last years game was awesome and I have no doubt this one will be great as well.

Wow, wish I had that confidence of my team on the road in the SBC. Troy has lost to ASU, beat USA by 1, and came from behind to beat a winless Georgia State by 7 and expect them to come into Bowling Green and win convincingly.
The only way that happens is for the Toppers to turn it over at least 5 times which has been their achilles but they are due a turnover limited or free game. WKU has the best pass defense 150 yds better than Troy has and Doughty is only behind Robinson is yards & percentage. WKU has also outgained every team they have played this season including UT.

All of those yards are wasted if we continue to turn the ball over 3 or 4 time a game and our defense creates 0 turnovers on opposing team...I think at this point its all mental and a funk that is going to be hard to get rid of unless BP says **** it and goes to an almost running team like the last few seasons....At this point I think we are almost there if we continue to have another turnover bonanza...

I would say your statement in Bold is equally outrageous as the opinion it was directed at.

Doughty is behind Robinson in several things including passing yards, not even close in QBR, and most importantly TDs. Not much good to have a QB that can get yards if he can't finish and Robinson has almost double the TDs doughty has. Another thing you forgot to add to the equation is the fact that WKU does not have any receivers worth a shat to back up your decent QB. So on WKU side you guys have a good RB, LB, and some good DBs. FIU proved that a great RB alone can't carry a team, so I will put your edge in this game at passing defense. The Truth is that WKU has not played a team yet this year with a passing attack as good as Troy's, so we will see how good that secondary really is. Also ponder this, Troy is #13 in the FBS in passing yards and #22 in total yards. So honestly how is my statement that Troy could win convincingly any more outlandish than what you claim. At least my argument provided some proof, we will see who the better team is when they step on the field anything else is opinion and speculation.

Sure you outgained Tennessee, they started with the ball on the WKU 20 every time. Hard to rack up yards that way.

Exactly. Some folks don't want to admit to that though.

Also, I would have to imagine your pass defense numbers have benifited from playing Navy and the fact ULL threw it a whopping 15 times

....or...they understand the facts a little better than you.
The first 2 interceptions were pick 6's so yes Tennessee didn't gain yards but on those two series, WKU only gained 20 yards total.
On the next series we had -2 yards and a fumble.
On the next series we had 7 yards and a fumble
On the next series we had 0 yards and an interception.
So, in that disastrous 7 minutes, WKU had 25 yards and Tennessee had 56 yards.
For the rest of the game, WKU had 368 to Tennessee's 326 yards.

Wow...Impressive....they milked 3 quarters away? Do you really believe that? After our 5th turnover and UT was up 31-3 at the beginning of the 2nd quarter , we scored 2 TD's on two long drives and forced UT into three 3 and out's the rest of the second quarter and were only down 14 at half.
