At the Grove in Oxford, diversity still means an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.

Good thing they don't lose any parties because they won't be winning many football games.

RE: Ole Miss party girl
I get it that it's a great atmosphere if you are a young college guy wanting to bang everything that moves. But c'mon people, it's a sad illustration of a much greater problem that has infected many of the campuses across the country. FYI, it's dumbasses like the girl in the OP video that help to jack up the costs for the rest of us who have the functioning brains to actually obtain skills tangible to the real world. I guess when you are a parent and you are witnessing how stupid morons are blowing the costs out of the water for the more worthy students is really disheartening.

Keep the unwashed masses satiated with bread and circuses, and you can do whatever you want and get away with it. That's the moral of the story from what I can see...

Dumb and easy.

Went down there for a weekend in the late 90's, and nailed a cute one.
Grove is a great environment.

Ditto, only it was 1966. Some things never change.

RE: Ole Miss party girl
First let me say, who cares? This girl is being a college kid, so what? I hope she has a great time at Ole Miss.

The problem with a girl like that is the looks eventually fade but idiocy is a permanent condition. I cannot tell you how many friends I have who married good looking girls who were maybe not the brightest girls or the kindest people. That was awesome for them when we were all still in our 20s. However, after a kid or two - and in one case after an illness - all of that other stuff has long since faded but the jerk in them has remained and in some cases it has grown. All of those dudes are now in bad marriages and it's a shame.

My wife is in her late 30s but she takes care of herself and has ridiculous genes - her parents are each in their late 60s but look like they're in their early 50s. As a result, she looks significantly younger than her husband (who needs to do a better job taking care of himself). However, the biggest thing about my wife is that she is the nicest, most grounded person I have ever known. That too doesn't fade with time and it is why I feel soooooooooooo incredibly lucky to have her. Yeah, she's still cute but more importantly she's just a wonderful person and a great mother.

I'll tell you why I care. Many people like her would objectively not have the qualifications to attend a university of the standards were raised even somewhat higher than they are today. When you combine the easy money from Washington in the role of student loans and combine that with the lax entry qualifications where the fools are allowed to enter classrooms where a generation or two ago these same people would be laughed at for being morons - it results in a caustic situation. It's counterintuitive, but because of student loans, the more lax requirements to attend college is simply jacking the prices up for those worthy to attend along with everyone else.

So while some people think hey, good for her because she's living the dream and having the time of her life, all I see is a person who is leaching off of society so that eventually when she's ready to go off to the real world we'll "benefit" by her stellar wisdom in "Art History" or get to see her skills plied in the already bloated "Elementary Ed" world...

In the meantime, students wishing to study Engineering, PreMed, Physics, Chemistry, etc. get to thank this 'tard for the opportunity to pay higher tuition because she "thinks" she needs a college education to do something in this world with her weak, underdeveloped brain...

Miko, she is an ole miss girl and will get married and make babies right after graduation. Being a good wife and mother is very important. Easy access to loans is driving up costs.

Admission of Mississippi Residents

Regular admission will be granted to the following:

(1) Students completing the College Preparatory Curriculum (CPC) with a minimum 3.20 high school GPA on the CPC.

(2) Students completing the CPC with a minimum 2.50 high school GPA on the CPC and a minimum score of 16 on the composite ACT (or 770 on the SAT).

(3) Students completing the CPC with a class rank in the top 50 percent and a minimum score of 16 on the composite ACT (or 770 on the SAT).

(4) Students completing the CPC with a minimum 2.00 high school GPA on the CPC and a minimum composite score of 18 on the ACT (or 860 on the SAT).

(5) Students who meet full-qualifier certification requirements for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Apparently a few posters are taking this way too seriously. If there was social media when I went to college, there would have been hundreds of these to laugh about.

I'm sorry some of you spent your entire community college years role playing an elf in World of Warcraft and never had the opportunity to party with pretty girls. Lighten up...

I love this notion that seems to suggest people who party in college are somehow incapable of becoming contributing members of society. Lots of broad brushes in this thread...

I partied with some of the pretty girls. Some were sweet, but some were treacherous, even mean. I'll won't forget dancing with a Phi Mu at one of my fraternity's parties though. We had a good time. I still prefer my current girlfriend to her though. :D

RE: Ole Miss party girl
A virtuous woman, she is not! Young men need to look else where. 07-coffee3

Proverbs 31:10-31
King James Version (KJV)

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Yes, I may be using broad brush strokes in this thread, but statistics are on my side here too. Besides, the way this thread unfolded with the brunette girl as the focal point, my take on it is a moron who thinks college is all about the "experience", aka partying. That's different than taking a bright student that happens to enjoy partying hard.
