To preserve his high draft status, not a problem for App St kids.

I had a Razorback fan tell me in 2010 that the biggest mistake ASU ever made was moving to FBS, and that we'll never be successful at this level ever and should drop back down.

He also went on some rant about how UCA was a better program than we were. I still remember his ranting's to this day.

In the end I think part of the reason we get along so well as a league is because we've all faced similar issues when it comes to staying at the top level. We sort of understand what each other is going through.

I especially agree with you when it comes the relationship between our 2 Universities....We faced state practically every year that I was on staff at UL...your Lacewell years....and we hope that our relationship with your program will continue no matter where we end up...

I sure did not see this coming.

What is going on there?

It's very simple:

1) Worst O-Line I've seen in my 30 years following App
2) First year HC
3) New scheme on D without right personnel
4) Rookie QB
5) A few bad apples that have to get tossed such as Price

How many players have been drafted out of Sun Belt schools the last five years?

App has had seven.

There are 7 serious prospects this year alone.

That wasn't an answer to the question. I'm speaking to drafted players only not camp invites.

App. has had a number of draftees in the last few years. Georgia Southern has had some though I don't think as many as App. Any SunBelt poster trying to say otherwise is just not informed.

.troy has put a boatload of players in the league.

so have the cajuns and red woofs.

we haven't but both andrews and jackson should end up 3-5 round picks.

somebody will take dowling on athleticism alone.

i don't know else has potential draftees this year but the sunbelt puts players in the league.

learn that.

App alone has had seven the last five years, see the difference, so take your poor assumption the App players don't have to worry about the draft elsewhere.

Colour me unimpressed. The SBC has done just fine putting quality players in the Leauge. 07-coffee3

I don't think he was implying that the Sun Belt doesn't put players in the league, just showing that App players do have a need to watch out for their draft stock, contrary to your comments.

I didn't draw the comparison with the SBC; he did.

RE: What is happening at Appalachian?
If a player is draft worthy scouts already know, no matter how the team is doing as a whole.

If their stock drops, a camp invite isn't a bad schtick either. We have 2 2013 UDFAs on 53 man rosters this year.

I think TXST may have 3 or 4 being looked at. As for drafted, I don't know.

I think Erickson (of infamous ejection fame Saturday) may have a ST shot. Kid is a gamer in the mold of Colt Anderson from Montana. (Eagles, 4th year and I realize Anderson is a Safety)

Yeah, kids fake concussions and ACL surgery all the time. 01-wingedeagle

All 25 have concussions and ACL surgery? Stop being a rube. Enlighten me on all the players with ACL surgeries. I can't think of a single one.

LOL just saw the eye doctor, and at my age cataracts are a problem. Sure enough the doctor said maybe in ten or twelve years I may need the surgery.

I am pretty sure I am not getting off this planet alive, and in great shape. I will enjoy my bourbon, bodin, salt, sun & surf, seafood, or sex ( well with women anyway) in every way possible. No way has anyone who told me to watch my lifestyle outlived me, or living better through moderation.

Follow the thread.

You claimed App players didn't have to worry about their draft stock. I pointed out that App has had more NFL draft picks than any Sun Belt member the last five years. This does not imply the Sun Belt doesn't put talent in the NFL, it implies that App players do in fact get drafted. Enjoy your coffee while you reread the thread.

I'm assuming the question is lost on this crowd as you may not watch the Larry David show.

No, not everyone had ACL surgery or concussions. It's called giving an example.

I won't be listing all the players and their injuries, as I'm pretty sure there is some NCAA/HIPAA issues with that.
