I like him. He is doing much better than Jackson and summerall did in their late years broadcasting. But then again, I always like MAdden too.

This is a great suggestion. It's hard to listen to Musberger swinging from UT's nuts. Get the homer radio call and watch it on TV, and that should improve the experience.

Hear of Dixie hit the nail on the head. It's a combination of ABC having too much crap going on during the game. It's almost like you are watching the ABC show(complete with their ads, trivia questions and side bar discussion) the game is secondary.

I cannot even begin to list all the things about Musburger that annoy me.

He's the worst announcer in football. I generally switch to another game if he's the announcer. He certainly doesn't worship UT.

He's not particularly dumb or anything he's just a weird man who spends all of his time talking about nothing but doing an awful lot of it.

He also is not knowledgable about football or the teams. He doesn't do his homework to understand the teams he is covering.

Musberger is terrible. I first started to dislike him during his heyday at CBS, when they put him on every freakin' broadcast they had, no doubt in order to "brand" the network. At some point I'd like to tell these network executives "NOBODY watches a game because your network is the one broadcasting it. They watch your network because it bought the rights to the game they want to watch. You DO, however, have the potential for putting on such a bad broadcast that viewers will look elsewhere."
