Anyword on who will be USF's QB?
I heard Grothe may be the starter over Julmist. With the defense USF has returning it be ashame if they were held back by mediocre offfense this year.

It will be determine in the Fall.
Julmiste looked good in the Spring game, Grothe did best passing wise but made some costly mistakes in Spring game. Hill looks like he will be redshirted.
I think we will see both PJ and Grothe in the early games. We have a good defense and the most important thing our coach asks of the QB is NOT to turn the ball over.

Your OOC schedule is preety good too, You guys have the talent advantage over UCF/Kansas and about even with UNC. I think you guys could go undefeated in OOC.

It will all depend on how quickly we can develop a decent offensive plan. We have not been a great road team. Our Defense will keep us in games and thats why our coaching staff puts a premium on the offense not turning the ball over. Thats what gives Julmiste the edge on Grothe right now.If Grothe can reduce the freshmen mistakes he is the better passer and could make our offense more balanced.

Grothe threw three interceptions in a game where he cleary had the best receiver on the field in Amp Hill. Julmiste is years ahead of Grothe.

Maybe on defense, but UCF is better than USF at every postion on the offensive side of the ball except WR and that is a draw.

Yeah those three were very effective vs Bulls last year
Moffett 40-19 208 yds, 11 rushes 50 yds
vs
Julmiste 16-10 95 yds, 13 carries 73 yds

K. Smith 2 carries 0 yds
vs.
Ponton 19 carries 78 yds

M. Walker 5 catches 70 yds.

As I said be there Sept 16 then we will talk

I'm just pissed the game is at 2:30pm. That should make for a nice 97 degree tailgate party and some sunburn.

Good job on ruining a thread that had absolutely nothing to do with UCF. Some Knight fans on here are fine at discussing things, you however should someday attempt to post on here without being a total tool.

Every post from you over the last few days has been 100% worthless.

First of all there is no "maybe" on defense.

Secondly Grothe is a redshirt freshmen, so it's no real wonder that Julmiste is literally and figuratively years ahead. Finally, better at every position on offense is a joke.

RB: your RB got fat on soft, slow CDOA defenses
OL: your offensive line is small, soft and slow..... a bad combination that was abundantly clear when UCF played anybody with an athletic defense.
QB: Moffett is still mistake prone and all you have to do is put a little pressure on him and he gives it up faster than whore in Reno
WR: USF has much better athletes and depth at WR, lcak of QB play and repetition has hurt this unit; however compared to UCF who lost Marshall you don't have any proven players other than a Walker who is still mending from his serious knee injury.

Amen...

GOL is overestimating his reach....

If UCF starts losing again, you are going to have an empty stadium...

Sir Gally (aka southtampaknight & guru) has a gift for being an unabashed USF-Hater. He also disappears for weeks or months at a time when shown to be wrong....

Sounds very much like your life.

So grothe is a redshirt freshman, that is your excuse, than I will use that as well. Our offensive line was made up of:

As of December 6, 2005
Patrick Brown - True freshman - 6'5" - 265 as of 3/06 6'5" 270
Kyle Smith - True Sophmore - 6'2" - 280 as of 3/06 6'2" 290
Cedric Gagne-Marcoux - JR - 6'3" - 290 as of 3/6 6'2" 280
LJ Andersson - Freshman - 6'3" - 280 as of 3/6 6'3 290
Kyle Story - Sophmore - 6'6" - 280 as of 3/6 6'6" 295

Behind all those starters were two juniors, a soph and a freshman, call coming back. Add to that our All American RB who was a true freshman added 15 pounds since the end of the season.

I have little doubt our offensive line will blow your DL away, exposing those "great" LB's.

USF does have very good athletes at WR, but lets not forget that USF lost their best receiver last year as well. Actually, USF lost their top two receivers considering Hall was your #1. But if you want to count incoming guys, than lets just see how some of our freshman do and Walker may be nursing a knee injury, but so is Amp Hill. Oh and remember the name Rocky Ross, he played as a true freshman last year, this year he ten pounds heavier and came out of High School with much higher accolades than Marshall did. He will slant across the field all day long. The difference, we actually have a QB that can throw to our WR's.
