To be honest, I'm not convinced anybody will run through the conference unscathed.

i agree with this however, the battle of the last two undefeated's will be in two weeks provided UL wins this weekend.

BTW just some cool info, since 2010 ASU has not lost at home to a team outside of the state of Kentucky. we are 15-3. two losses to WKU and one to Louisville.

BUT UL leads the series since 2002 with a 6-4 record.
However When at stAte we lead 3-1 with the sole Home loss to the cajuns coming in a 21-18 game in 2009 which stAte caught its first glimpse of THE Ryan Aplin after starting QB Corey Leanord was benched after an interception and two Unsportsmanlike penalitys.

I find it interesting that the one play that started the Run for Arkansas state but causing our then coach Steve Roberts to Bench our Record setting QB in Favor of Redshirt Freshman Ryan Aplin and the game that caused Freeze to be brought in as OC was an interception by Cajuns DB Lance Kelly. So there you Go Sun Belt. You can thank the Cajuns for your lack of conference championships the last 2 Years!

WKU won't run through it unscathed. Everyone is gonna give WKU their best game because we're leaving and I'm sure SBC teams want to send us on our way without a championship trophy.

One thing nobody will miss is the super inflated egos of the WKU goat nation. Geez nobody gives a rats behind about sending you off without a title. We simply want to win a title for ourselves, it has zero to do with WKU except it is always nice to deflate your giant planetoid heads.

Seriously dude? I wasn't saying WKU was better than anyone. I was just stating the obvious. Much like all the talk last year or so during football and basketball season about NT, MT, FIU, FAU, etc. when they were leaving. There were threads upon threads about giving the teams leaving a kick in the butt on the way out. It's no different this year. And fwiw, last year I too wanted to make sure those leaving left with a bad taste in their mouth.

Cajun fans have an inferiority complex. Just let it go. Let him have his little moment.

Says the poster who, along with several of his fellow Cajun posters, has been bragging and proclaiming themselves conference champions since before the season even started.
Not saying it won't happen, but when it comes to football-related egos, the Cajun fanbase is numero uno.
Now if you are talking basketball, WKU probably heads to the head of the class (with competition from a few GA St posters).

RE: Which Game will it be?
Expectations are always high for the Cajuns.

No team in the SBC enjoys quite the advantages that UL does. It's probably the biggest pro and con really. UL has a much wealthier alum than many in the conference due in part to where it is and where many of the alums find employment, oil. Also, it's in the heart of, and in part, represents a culturally unique and distinct area, Acadiana.

Expectations are high because if UL could harness that it could be extremely successful. Honestly, a Baylor type level school. Problem is, the leadership has been idle for decades and the program has lapsed for almost it's entire existence. Going forward, there is a reason the stadium is being expanded and why UL is willing to, and can, pay Hud what they do.

If UL builds on what momentum, no matter how small it may be, I expect to see UL at least in a far different position than it is in today. The program has already made monumental strides, exceeding its growth over the last 25 years, in the last 3-5. Expect expectations to only rise.

This is true and comes along with success we have had in the past and recent success in hoops.....Everyone wants to knock off the top dog and WKU has been getting other teams best games especially at home for years now.....It might just be me, but its perplexing hearing smack talk coming from GA St. fan this off season..... their team has not accomplished anything, you would think they are coming off of a great season....No that is not true since they had a losing record last season...Last Year North Texas fans were being ridiculous preseason but at least they were coming off a 20 win season year before....And despite that I have never read anywhere near the smack talk from a WKU fan like those from North Texas last year and even some of the talk coming from Georgia St. fans this offseason..

I have to disagree because a Cajun loss to WKU does not end our chances to win the SBC because WKU already have a loss to me until you beat ASU they are still the champions so every game at or with ASU involved is big next Tuesday at ASU for the Cajuns is huge the last game of the Season for WKU at ASU is just a big and for any other SBC team that want to win the conference championship they have to beat ASU its still early and any team minus GSU can win the conference this year.

Look at your "L" key. Now look below it. It's a period! It helps separate sentences so that your statements are easier to read.

I read a chiefs message board for kicks. I have yet to see an example of trash talk over there that did not involve language that would make even Mathenis squeamish.

Im a Mets and chiefs fan. I've been doing a lot of that the last few years. Chiefs decided to get off to a good start this year, so I have seen the trash talk return.

I wish I could be able to trash talk other baseball teams in the future...03-hissyfit
