Oh yes, I hate them because they downgraded their stadium...was always the best road trip of the year.

I always hated ODuh way more than RU. RU just always seemed like a silly little place for pretentious people who didn't make it into Hooville to waste too much of their money.

This is the answer. Richmond was very good in hoops in the 80s and 90s and we had some great battles with them.

Because they dropped men's soccer and track to add men's lacrosse. I guess they think everyone will consider them as "peers" with the UVa/Georgetown/Syracuse/Duke/Hopkins crowd. What a laughably transparent attempt to try to create prestige out of thin air. Sh-t like this is why I hate RU.

That was a great interview. The host though, sounds like a Jim Rome wannabe w/ that voice. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard.

It's the private vs public school in VA. I hated that they use to say " move the chains " after every first down. And the players always thought they were better than us .

I don't even consider UR a "Virginia school". I've met or worked with about two dozen UR grads since I've been in Richmond. Maybe five or six of them were actually from Virginia. In some ways, Richmond is a commuter school, just with a much longer commute (and a much higher price tag) than say... VCU... GMU... ODU.
