Marshall...
I just want to thank MUTeke and his friends for taking us in and letting us hangout with him and his friends at their tailgate. I am glad i made the trip to Huntington. The most humble fans I have ever met. Everybody was gracious to us for making the trip and telling us to have a safe trip back to San Antonio. Even two young boys, between 8-10 years old came up to us and their dad told my buddy and I that they had something to say, and all they said was "Good game and have a safe trip back." Greatest fans by far. Thank you for making this a memorable experience.

No problem. I'm glad you guys had a good time. Did you get to stop at the fountain and crash site on the way back to Lexington?

We stopped by the fountain, but couldn't find the crash site and It was getting late so we decided to leave.

Agree, the road trip to Marshall was one of the better ones I have done. Their fans were better than the ones @ WVU by far. I believe I rode by the graveyard but didn't get to go in for the crash victims. I did go to the fountain.

How it went down that year:

The crash site itself can be hard to find if your not from around the area.. There are some signs but can easily be overlooked

UTSA. Let's hear some more specifics of your experience!!

Where'd you eat? What'd you think of the gameday atmosphere? Etc...

We appreciate you making the trip.

Thanks for the compliment we try and make every fan feel like they are welcome and want them to come back. Word of advice though if you ever play WVU (The WHO) don't expect the same treatment. Ive heard people that have been to games at both schools and ask how we can be from the same state. It gets horrid up there on visiting fans.

You could have probably stopped and ask someone and they would have probably taken you to the crash site and Spring Hill Cemetery.

UTSAMarineVet, I believe we met. I was the guy who went to shake your friends hand and he dropped his sandwich. Haha. I hope you all enjoyed the rest of your trip. Thanks for coming.

I think you might be in one of our pictures. But I remember you.

We were able to go to the cemetery before the game and to the fountain after the game. We didnt stop to eat anywhere in town, the food at the tailgate was very delicious and we were stuffed.

Here is the thread that I started over on Rowdytalk.com, I posted the pictures there. The second set of pictures are from my buddy Mac that came from DC.

I'll tell you this, I had such a good time that if Marshall makes it to the CCG, I'll make the trip again to Huntington or wherever they'll go.

I honestly hear this so much and I never get tired of it.

I hosted a Southern Miss fan tailgating and even let him stay at my place, he said Marshall is the only place he will come back to every time they play here.

Marshall...
If Marshall wins out and has the CCG in Huntington, some of my buddies already said that they'll go.

I have been telling them about my experience and now they are kicking themselves in the ass for not going.

I was the guy that you attacked with kindness. I'll admit that I was not the most coordinated person around after drinking "Grandad's apple pie".

I had a great time Huntington. Marshall has the most welcoming fans I have ever met.
