Interesting viewpoint on why Cruz is wrong...
It's an interesting piece, but I think it's one of those views that comes across as highly parental, i.e. "let the children have what they want and let them suffer the consequences of their actions". It's great advice when all you have to worry about is wasting money on a cheap toy. It's entirely different when you are willing to allow Obama and the Dems the opportunity to wreak havoc with the long term endgame of conditioning the people to abhor the welfare state mentality because of obamacare.

As seductive as this sounds, I'm more in line of the idea that you squash a bad idea when you can, period.

There should be no resistance. The majority who are against Obamacare should be united for its demise. How absurd is it that most of us are dead set against the bill, yet we can only criticize those who are trying to do something about it?

This might be a seminal event in the history of the USA in last 80 years. Since FDR we have steadily been on the road to entitlement serfdom (with apologies to Freddy Hayek) but for the first time, it may be that a federal govt social program will be seen as a total failure and will self-destruct. The "bumps" that Obamacare has experienced are likely to pale in comparison to what is possibly going to happen when the full program takes affect.

Since these problems will likely unfold over the next two years, the Republicans should sit back and allow the disaster to occur. And the Dems will lose control of the federal govt for a generation.

Except the solution to the bumps will be sold as even more government control.

We have too many low information voters to just sit back and allow it to unfold. We are flooding the country with non assimilated immigrants who come from socialist countries. California is already allowing these people to assist in campaigns. The situation is critical. Once enacted, it will be almost impossible to reverse.
