The Hokie Stone is an important part of Virginia Tech and is said to bring good luck. It is the stone every player touches as they exit the tunnel on their way to the field as well.

Having said that, those helmets are ass ugly.

I think it would more likely be the pillar logo though:

to me, that doesn't look bad at all. Actually I think it looks better than some of the other helmets VT has worn in the last few years quite frankly!!!

It beats the camo helmet used last week, that's for sure...

Masonry is actually pretty easy to crack apart. All it needs is one good hit in the right spot...

I like it. It's supposed to celebrate the university and it does just that.

I hope they go with the VT so the casual viewer flipping by will know what school it represents.

I keep seeing that repeated but if you are too dumb to figure out which two teams are playing when it is written at the bottom of the screen then you aren't the audience the advertisers nor the university were after anyway.

Not as ugly as Maryland.

Actually with the logo on it I like it.

With the VT logo, it's actually a pretty sweet helmet. It certainly will get people curious about VT's traditions and that's the entire goal.

The helmet with just the rock background on it looks quite silly though.

I personally think that they should go with the pillar logo for that helmet. It really could be a fun learning experience when potential UG and Grad students look up the meaning of the Hokie Stone and the pillar logo.

They're going to look like blockheads running around.
